Chapter 1
Selina looked up at the sky. She felt something dripping cold on her face.
Rain.
She thought.
"Selina! Wanna take a walk home together? Wait, is it raining? Whatever, nevermind." Kaylee groaned. "Being in this office working for Zach is hard enough for me. And it started to rain? Ugh!" Selina smiled at her best friend. "Kay, don't speak too much at once. You speak really fast, you know?"
"Anyway, you need a ride home? I just texted Colin, and he offered to give us both a ride.", Kay offered.
" Aww, thanks. You can go first. I'll finish up this work. Give me 4 minutes.", said Selina. "Sure, see you in 4 minutes !"
And Kay was gone.
Selina started cleaning up the documents. 2 minutes later, the documents were in different perfectly organized folders. She started walking out of the office door. She pressed the elevator button to "down". When the elevator door opened, she bumped hard into something. She fell to the ground, holding her head in her hands. "Oww!", she yelled.
"Watch where you're going!", an angry voice said from above. It sounded like a male. Selina slowly opened her eyes. She sees a handsome stranger looking at her directly into the eye. His stormy eyes seemed to settle into her. "YOU watch where you're going!", she yelled again. The stranger looked at her, unamused. "Women.", he scoffed a minute later. "What do you mean?", Selina said angrily. He didn't reply and walked straight out of Selina's sight.
2 minutes later, Selina saw Kay again. "What happened? You have a bruise on your forehead. Need me to beat someone up?" Kay asked. Her boyfriend Colin agreed. "Yeah, Selina, are you alright?" "Guys, calm down, I'm fine. Just bumped into some random jerk who didn't apologize." "Ugh. He probably works at this building. You could show us who he is later.", Kay pressed. "Hey guys, let's get going, this rain isn't gonna stop.", Colin said. "Oh, okay.", Selina said.
Selina got home a little late today. Her brother Alec was waiting for her to eat. He cooked curry. When Alec saw her, he asked kindly: "Selina, what happened to your forehead?" "Oh, it's no big deal." "Are you sure? I'll go get you some medicine from my room." Selina sighed. "You are really the best brother anyone could get. Thanks."
When she was done washing her face and brushing her teeth, Selina checked her phone. She texted Kay and Anna on Instagram. She currently has 124 followers, and she has a private account. She sighed. She texted her sister Anna: I hope 2morrow gets better. And then she put an emoji heart and an IG that says: Goodnight. Anna replied quickly: Aww, ok sleep well
The next day at work, she saw the stranger again. She pointed to the stranger in the tux and whispered to Kay. "That was the jerk I was talking about."
Kay's eyes went wide. "Do you know who that is?!" "Uhh, no. But from what I'm seeing, you probably do."
Kay whispered: "He's Isaac Sharpe, the owner of this whole company, the owner of even probably the whole New York City, and he is a billionaire who is gonna be our boss!"
"I'm in trouble."
