Background of the story -
Maheshwari Family:
Durga Prasad Maheshwari is a well known name in the field of Business in West Bengal as well as in the Marwadi society of Kolkata.
His father Ganesh Prasad Maheshwari had laid the foundation of the Maheshwari Industry. With the time Maheshwari Industry has earned profit and fame more and more and had developed according to the modern society but when it comes to family traditions they have been following their customs and ritual without any alteration.
Durga Prasad Maheshwari has always wanted his brother to be like him, more strict and dominating. Although his brother Ram Prasad Maheshwari has always followed his each and every word but still he has a soft heart which Durga Prasad always wanted to change as soft hearted people easily gets hurt.
Durga Prasad's wife Annapurna and Ram Prasad's wife Sujata share a great bond just like sisters which has helped the house to maintain it's peace.
Durga Prasaad and Annapurna have two children, Adarsh Maheshwari, the eldest son of the next generation who is as obedient as his chacha ji (Ram Prasad) while their younger son Laksh is exact opposite of Adarsh.
Ram Prasad Maheshwari and Sujata Maheshwari too have two children elder one is Sanskar Maheshwari, who is younger to Adarsh and elder to Laksh and Uttara.
Sanskar is a self made individuals, who is exactly like his Bade Papa (Durga Prasad Maheshwari) strict and dominating when it comes to business. From the age of 18 he has been helping his bade Papa and Papa in their business as well as he has been working hard to build his own business.
Sanskar always wanted to control his own life without being depended on anyone else at the same time he is also the most obedient son of the family.
Uttara is the youngest child of Ram and Sujata as well as the Maheshwari family and has a sweet, kind yet strong personality.

Annapurna Maheshwari (AP) - House wife and a very good singer but left singing after marriage now only signs at family festivals.
Sujata Maheswari (Suju/SJ) - House wife a very talented painter and paint only when she likes for her timepass never thought to try it as a career.
Adarsh Maheshwari - Business man MD of Maheswari Industry (MI).
Pari Maheshwari - House wife has a degree in MBA but never got a chance to build a career.
Sanskar Maheswari (SM) - Business man Owner of Karma Industry (KI). Earlier used to work for MI also as CFO but now his whole focus is on KI. KI has chains of hotel and garment factories. Now his is playing to expand his business in software and ethical hacking industry as well.
Laksh Maheswari (Lucky) - College pass out an intern in MI but not at all serious about his career.
Uttara Maheswari (Uttu) - College students studying English Masters. Everyone think that she wants to be a English Professor in any reputed University and also preparing for it but without anyone's knowledge she is preparing to be a professional white hat hacker.
Bose Family -
Shobha Bose is a strong woman who after the death of her husband (Simonto Bose) had single handedly raised their only daughter Sharmistha Bose with love, care and discipline.
All her life she has live with her head held high but her only regret is that she couldn't stop her beloved daughter to fell in love with a spineless coward man.
Sharmistha Bose, just like her mother has a strong personality because of which she was able to tolerate the betrayal she got in love.
With her strong will power and fight back spirit she has brought up her daughter in a country like India where getting pregnant before marriage is a crime and the culprit is only the women who got pregnant and not the man who betrayed the woman he claims to love and a coward who didn't have the guts to accept his mistake.
Swara Bose, the apple of the eyes of her mother and grandmother is as strong as her grandmother and has equal fight back spirit of her mother.
From childhood she has seen them struggling and maintaining the house holds without any so called man-of-the-house which made her mindset that a woman can do everything which a man can do. Her this will power is the first thing which have attracted the attention of Sanskar Maheshwari at the age of 12
Shobha Bose (SB Sr. / Dida) - Business women who deals online have her own online shop for cloths and accessories. She started her business after her husband's sudden death first it was a offline business but now with the growing online market she sifted her business to online.
Sharmistha Bose (SB jr. / Sumi/ Misti)- Works in a jewellery shop as an accountant.
Swara Bose (Shona/ Saru) - College Pass out, a brilliant student and a brilliant versatile singer.
Helps her Grandmother (Dida) in business, has a small music school of her own which she has built without anyone's help not even her mother, grand mother or Sanskar's help.
Also gives free classes of music and primary education to the children and senior citizens in slum areas who don't have enough money for education.
Gododiya Family -
Shekhar Gododiya is biological father of Swara. 21 years back he was in love with Sharmistha Bose but when his parents.
Parvati Gododiya and Dindayal Gododiya who believes in all the superstitious and conservative things in the name of 'Dharm' (religion), had asked him to leave Sharmistha he did that without even looking back at the woman he claimed to love for once.
After few weeks he got married to Janki Mittal who was his parents' choice and had moved on easily without any guilt of braking Sharmistha's heart.
His daughter Ragini Gododiya who is few months younger to Swara, is a submissive girl who was brought up by her grandmother from the age of 2 after her mother's death. She has always been suppressing her own dreams to fulfill her family's demand.
Dindayal Gododiya (DG/Dadaji) - Has a shop near Kalighat temple where things related to worshipping Maa Kali is sold to the worshippers or devotees of Maa Kali who comes to visit the temple.
Parvati Gododiya (PG/Dadima) - House wife and a good cook.
Shekhar Gododiya (SG) - Works with his father.
Ragini Gododiya (Ragu/Ladoo) - College pass out a good classical singer wants to pursue her career in signing but doesn't have the courage to tell this to her family as they are very conservative and thinks girls shouldn't work.
Background of the story -
Before 5 years -
Laksh as usual has done another mistake when Sanskar tried to rectify him DP came there and listening their conversation he got angry and scolded Laksh and asked him to be like Sanskar.
In anger Laksh went out of the house to meet his friends. His friends instigated him against Sanskar and in anger he revealed to the family about Sanskar's bengali girl friend.
Everyone were socked as it is their family tradition that every child of the family have to marry the person chosen by the elder of the family who will be from their own community, in short love marriages are not aloud and inter cast marriage is out of question.
Thus DP asked Sankar to choose between hid love and family thinking that Sanskar is the most obedient son of family so he will definitely chose his family, but he forgot that Sanskar also doesn't like to be controlled in the name of cast discrimination and gender bias.
So when Sanskar chose his love and in anger DP threw Sanskar out of the house the whole family became double socked including Laksh as he just wanted his father to know that everyone does mistake and he (Laksh) alone is not as useless as he (DP) thinks.
But Laksh didn't know that his father will throw his brother out of the family. After that nobody knows where Sanskar went it's like there was noone named as Sanskar Maheswari exists in the world. After few months they got a news of Sanskar's death from one of his friend.
After 5 Years -
Swara and Ragini have no idea about Shekhar and Sharmistha's past or the main reason of dispute between the two families.
They have studied in the same school till the age of 12 after that something happened between the two families again and Swara was sent to a boarding school where she meet Sanskar.
From there starts Swara and Sanskar's friendship followed by love and relationship of life long.
After finishing her schooling Swara came back to Kolkata and joined Shantiniketan. She again met Ragini in a music competition and become friends.
There she came to know from Ragini that Ragini's marriage has been finalized with Laksh Maheshwari and Ragini knew nothing about her future husband or his family apart from their names, so on when Ragini request Swara to help her to know about them Swara agreed.
Swara and Ragini went to Maheswari mansion to know about them where security guards saw them and thought them to be some trouble makers.
When they wanted to bring them both inside the mansion Swara asked Ragini to go from there and she will handle everything.
When security guards brought her inside Gododiyas where also present there. Gododiyas were socked to see Swara there and when Swara introduced her as Ragini's friend Parvati Gododiya thought that Durga Prasad might brake the marriage if he came to know that Ragini has a friend like Swara who is bengali, modern, and a illegitimate daughter of her mother.
So Parvati Gododiya denied Swara's words saying that she is not Ragini's friend in fact she is their neighbor's daughter who has a habit of spoiling others happiness.
She started to insult Swara's family and when Swara protest saying that it's not her family but it's Parvati Gododiya who can not see other people happy Shekhar Gododiya slapped her.
Swara felt humiliated she ran out and came to her mother's workplace and told her everything. Sharmistha asked Swara to go back home and she will handle it.
After that Sharmistha went to Shekhar's shop and asked his worker to tell him to meet her after 1 hour in a nearby park.
After 1 hour when Sharmistha and Shekhar we're taking, Swara who came out for a cycle ride to refresh her mind overheard their conversation where she came to know that the man who just one hour back had insulted her for being fatherless and the man who she thought to be only her neighbour and father of her classmate Ragini is in real her father too n she is his illgimate daughter whom he denied to accept being a cowerd.
