I never expected rain, especially on the day I finally decided to overcome my fears and asked the girl of my dreams to meet me.
Guess what? She said yes. We fixed on a time, date and venue for us to meet and that was our last conversation before we actually met.
I chose a quiet park as the meeting place. It had a lot of flowers and grass, the perfect place to meet her. I sat on an empty bench, waiting for her to arrive. We didn't talk or text each other the entire day and I was confident she will come.
I started listening to music as I got bored looking around the quiet park. As time passed, my confidence was draining very fast. It was an hour past when we should have met.
That was the time, it started to rain. It first started off as nothing more than a drizzle here and there, but after 20 minutes, it became ferocious. I had heard the weather forecast the day before, and they said no rain is to be expected. Guess they were wrong.
But I didn't move from the bench. I was drenching wet, with the belief that she will come.
You may write me off as stupid, but the way in which she told me 'yes' was very reassuring. 10 more minutes later, the rain was slow but still pouring. That was when I saw a girl running towards the park wearing high heels.
She entered the park and she was looking in all directions, despite the rain blurring her vision.
"Clara?", I shouted. I had a feeling it was her.
"Clara, is that you?"
She heard my voice and turned her head to face me. I started running towards her. And she, towards me.
As the distance between us shortened, she wrapped herself around me. Her tender hands wrapped around my hips. It felt eternal. Her touch soothed me. My hands reciprocated automatically. In one blink of an eye, we both were hugging each other amidst the rain pouring down upon us.
"Sorry that I came late", she said gripping me tight and crying into my chest.
"It doesn't matter. I am glad you actually made it."
"Let's go somewhere to dry off." She broke the hug and looked into my eyes. Wasn't she beautiful?
Any man would die for her. She had long blonde hair, and black eyes that reflected her pure love, an hourglass body. She wore a black overcoat with stockings and high heels.
"I'm sorry I didn't bring an umbrella." I said to Clara, who was hugging me tightly while we walked outside the park.
"It's fine. I kind of like this. It's romantic." Clara replied, smiling to herself. Her smile was one more thing that made my heart beat faster.
After few minutes of walking we reached my home. I chose that park since it was near to my house. We went inside my house, and she sat on the sofa.
"You wait there. I will get you a towel and a dress to change."
She nodded her head and I went inside my room. I grabbed a towel and my mom's old dress and gave it to Clara.
"Here you go. I'll be drying off in my room. You can dry it off here. The bathroom is to your right. Call me if you need anything."
I went inside my room once again and dryed myself and changed clothes. I did my hairstyle and went out. She was also done by that point and had changed into my mom's dress.
My mom's dress was pretty big and she was a little thinner so the dress looked weird on her. My mom doesn't stay her, but she has some of her clothes here so whenever she comes to visit me, she can use her clothes.
I was used to staying alone and I never had brought a girl inside my house before and I felt overwhelmed and embarrased.
"How do I look?", she asked spreading her hands outwards.
"Is that too big for you?", I asked.
"No, no. It's fine. Thank you."
I felt weird to be appreciated by a girl whom I just met. She went on to say something.
"By the way, your house is so clean. I like it."
"I try to keep it clean as possible. I don't like it when it's messy."
"I see." There was absolute silence after she said that.
"Would you like something to eat or drink?" I asked.
"Yeah. A cup of coffee, perhaps."
"Sure. I'll be right back."
I went inside the kitchen, brewed us both some coffee and handed it to her. She was really fast to drink it and she placed the empty cup on the table in front of her. I finished my cup soon after.
"Matthew, can you close your eyes for a second?", she said.
I was utterly shocked. I didn't how how to react. But I knew I had to oblige.
"O.. Okay."
I closed my eyes and there was pure silence.
After a few seconds, her body pressed against mine, her hands wrapped on my hips, she whispered in my ears "Thank you for today. I really enjoyed it" and she started kissing me tenderly and passionately.
I hugged her back and returned her kiss with double the passion. That moment I knew this was the start of many more wonderful days of my life.
