Prologue
The war between the Sun realm, the Earth realm, the Sea realm, and the shadow realm had lasted for at least a year. Queen Lighthope of the sun realm was pregnant during this time. Due to the pregnancy she was unable to lead battle, so her husband, King Sunhope was forced to instead. For that past year, people lived in fear and hid in their homes, listening to the sounds of people’s agony. The battle went on, with more suffering and death. As soon as the queen of the sun realm gave birth to two beautiful baby girls, her husband stepped down too. Despite their efforts to get the other kingdoms to agree to end the war, they kept battling. The queen decided she would go try to reason with the other kingdoms again. Stepping into the Shadow realm, she felt the sudden pain in her chest. She looked down at the bullet wound caused by a hordiac. She put her hand to her wound as she fell backward, towards the ground.
