Chapter 1

"Tae calm down-" "Dont fucking tell me to calm down Y/n!" He yells in your face, spit flying out of his mouth. You flinch, making him even angrier. "Why did you fucking flinch..? You expecting me to hit you or something ?! Well maybe I should, because you obviously need a fucking reality check!"

Tears silently rolled down your cheeks as he yells this. Your body was tense and frozen, not making any sudden moves. "I cant believe your this careless Y/n. How could you get yourself fired?!" He yells after pacing back and forth. He panics because he refuses to get a job. Even though he covers it up by saying hes looking but having no luck.

Taehyung has been like this for as long as you have known him. He had temper issues and lashes at even at simple things like not answering a text fast enough for example. It's been 2 years since you two became a couple, although he was sweet at first he showed his true colors soon enough. But by that time you were already sucked in, and couldnt leave him because you love him. Hes all you have. "I'm going out to get a drink, dont wait up for me.." he mutters out before exiting the apartment as he slams the door. You flinch at the loud sound, sighing with relief when he was finally gone.

You only moved to this new city a couple months ago to be closer to your mom. She wasnt doing too well, and no one knew why. She said she would go to the doctors again today to get some tests done she would call afterwards. So you waited, and waited, and waited, but nothing. Getting a little worried you just call her yourself, listening to the ringing before hearing her pick up on the other end.

Mom: Y/n..?

Y/n: Hey mom, just wanted to check up and see how your doctors visit went today.

Mom: Oh right, I'm sorry I forgot to call. She says before coughing.

Y/n: Are you okay mama?

Mom: Yes dear, it's okay. But I have bad news..

Mom: I have cancer...

Y/n: W-what..?

You were stunned by the news you just heard. She has something that kills people daily, and the thought of her dying scared you because your dad had already passed years ago..you didnt want to lose her as well.

Mom: Dont worry dear, we will figure this out okay?

Y/n: O-okay..

Mom: Now I have to go, I love you my sweet angel.

Y/n: I love you too mama.

And with that, she hung up. You let out a huge breath that you didnt know you had been holding this whole time. Your life seemed to be crumbling apart all at once. You thought for a moment as you stared at the pills in the bathroom cabinet...maybe it would be better if you weren't in this world anymore. But then you thought of your mom, she needed you more than ever now. And you weren't going to leave her alone in this world.

Feeling hungry and realizing you had no food in the house, you walked out of the apartment and up to a food truck nearby. Having very little cash on you, you decide to get something small so you didn't waste it all at once. The man in the truck handed over your single hotdog before you go and sit on a table nearby. Even though you were hungry as fuck, looking at the food made you nauseous just thinking about the events today.

You ended up pushing through it as you slowly ate the hotdog. You were just about finished with it when someone caught your attention. "May I sit here?" A tall man asks, smiling down at you. You give a small smile back before responding. "Sure." You say simply. The man seemed to be around your age, and was very very attractive.

"You okay? You look like a mess, no offence." He asks, chuckling on the side. You set down your hotdog, looking down at it as that nauseating feeling came back. "My life is shit right now." You said bluntly, surprising yourself as you didnt intend on saying that out loud. You didnt understand why, but this man sitting in front of you right now gave off a comfortable aura that made you instantly say what you felt.

"Ah, I'm sorry to hear that." He says before biting into his hotdog. He chomps loudly, swallowing before asking more questions. "If you dont mind me asking, why is your life shit right now?" He asks curiously. Hesitantly you answering his question after licking your lips nervously. "Um..well.." you say, sighing to prepare yourself to spill your heart out to a complete stranger. "I just got fired from my job today at a big corporation, my boyfriend is pissed and yelled at me for it, and my mom just found out today that she had cancer." You explain almost in one whole breath.

This whole time you were looking away from the man, embarrassed after what you just said. "Wow, that is shit." He says before taking another bite of his food. After he finished his food, yours still being untouched after he came, he gives you a curious look. "I might be able to help with your job situatuon." He says, smile forming in his face. For the first time this whole night you looked over at him. "What do you mean..?" You ask timidly. "I own a club nearby, it's called Coyote Venom. I just lost my most profitable dancer and have been looking for a new one." He explains to you.

It didnt take a genius to know what he was asking you, making your eyes widen a little bit before waving your hands. "No no no! I'm sorry, I'm just not like that. I'm not a good dancer, and I'm pretty sure my boyfriend wouldn't let me." You say, talking quietly at the last part. He just nods his head, smile turning into a frown before he speaks. "So you let your boyfriend boss you around huh..?" He asks, but says it more like a statement.

You didnt respond, feeling so small and fragile. The man stands up to leave, but looks back at you before handing you something. "Heres my card if you change your mind. Come by sometime to see what were all about." He says, giving a wink. You just nod, watching his figure slowly walk until hes out of sight. You look down at the card in your hand before speaking to yourself. "Kim Namjoon huh...?"
