Eleven worlds

My iPod was blasting one of my favorite songs when the voices came crashing in. Ms.Petunya had pulled out my headphones.

“Amber, do you know what we were talking about while you were sitting back and listening to music?” She asked.

“Yes Ms.Petunya. You were talking about the difference between two different versions of the Greek myth of the fight between Perseus and Medusa.”

“And what would those myths be?” I stated them, I knew Greek mythology really well and I had photographic memory. The thoughts of my fellow classmates turned bitter. It wasn’t unusual,I’m a 10 year old junior in high school. That tends to draw attention to you.

Ms. Petunya looked at me with a look I can’t describe. “Well thank you, Amber.” I knew by her thoughts and the look on her face she didn’t mean it.

“Amber Jackson, please come to the office, Amber Jackson.” Mrs. Tagos, the principal’s assistant, called over the speakers.

Mr.Lito pointed at me, “ Go on now.” The other kids snickered. “Stop it.”

I shoved my stuff in my backpack and walked out.

I walked in, still confused why I was being called to the office. “Amber, please sit down. Mr.Langton will be with you in a few minutes.”Mrs.Tagos said.

I sat down and decided to try and make my barrier a little stronger. Mrs. Tagos peeked her head into Mr.Langton’s office and said something. “Amber, go ahead and go in. They’re ready for you.”

Confused by her choice of words, I got up and went into the office.

Inside, sitting behind the desk was Mr. Langton, a tall skinny man with a big nose and black hair with glasses. Another man was sitting in front of him in one of the chairs. He had brown hair, and Harry Potter glasses? He looks familiar, I thought.

“ Amber, this is Mr. Harry Jackson. He claims to be your father.”

Everything went black. The words just kept swirling through my head, Mr.Harry Jackson. Father. The face of Harry Jackson.
