Chapter 1, Rory meets the Doctor
“I can’t remember..”
I said to the doctor, feeling my way through my new body. Who was this anyway?
“How are you feeling?” The doctor asked me. I groaned.
“Not too great.” I replied leaning back on the nurse bed. I read his name tag.
“Doctor Haffouso”
“Wait, which hospital am I in?” I blurted out, quickly sitting back up again.
“Don’t worry. Your at Hospital #8.. And it’s 4 am in Glastonbury.” I’ve seemed to have lost all my memory.
“And may I ask what is the patient’s name?” Doctor Haffouso asked the nurse. I pushed my hand against my forehead.
“It..It’s very hot in here...” I murmured. Feeling my sweat drip down onto my shoulders.
“I’m pretty sure it’s Rory Fir..but I’ll double check sir.” The doctor nodded and curled his mustache. Of course before an operation or any medical drugs being taken the doctor surely know his patient’s name.. But no matter. I feel way better than yesterday, my sore arm and sore legs and sore head.. Poor me. A certain gleam in his eyes gave me the creeps.
“So Rory..” His eyes rolled, motioning to tell him if he’s right or wrong. I didn’t really know who I am..But I nodded very oddly.
“Alright, do you remember anything from yesterday? The bombs and explosions and shooting at area 59..you got badly hurt.” Something clicked in my mind. Something this person knew..that I didn’t. Again.
“My husband..is he okay? Peter Fir Aura?” I blurted out, as if someone is inside my mind. He opened his mouth as if he were to speak,but nothing came out.
“Well,he’s in the other room, pretty sure. Laura, Laura! Please check if Peter. Fir. Aura. Is in the other room?” Laura the nurse nodded and smiled. She gave me a piece of bread. I looked at her in confusion.
“You must be hungry,Rory.”
“LAURA!” Screamed the doctor and she scurried out of the room. There was a long silence.
