“Klavdika, your flight leaves at 3 in the morning tomorrow,” whispers Diana, Her soft voice carrying through the dark apartment and echoing odd the walls. It was around 11:00 pm and Anastasiya’s manager was bringing shocking news.
“Don’t call me that,” grumbled Anastasiya, her voice a lot louder than Diana’s was a second ago, “Anyway, Why didn’t you tell me earlier, we just got to France?”
The wind that was blowing away outside had gradually turned into rain, it smacked against the windows and gave the apartment a somber feel. Anastasiya was tired, exhausted even, but her eyes wouldn’t close and with the sudden news, she truly wouldn’t get any sleep soon.
“It’s sudden plans, The Academy called some minutes ago. You will be transferred to the South Carolina Academy hospital and are helping a team complete a mission.” Responded Diana, her Russian accent coloring her words.
“Fine, whatever. I’ll start parking, are you driving me?” Responded Anastasiya, a similar accent seeping through her own words.
“Да, yes,” murmured Diana.
Anastasiya stood from her place on the couch and headed to her bedroom, the white walls flashing back at her when she turned on the lights. She walked to her closet and wondered if America would treat her better than Russia had.
