Chapter 1
Detri
Bang!
I jumped out of bed, searching in the darkness for any signs of movement. As I move throughout the room I bump into numerous items I don't remember putting in my room. As this thought crosses my mind, I start to remember the actions of last night I had with a stranger I met in a bar.
I quickly run my hands over the walls and flip on the light switch. My eyes slowly scan the room, and over the naked form under the powder blue satin sheets. This must be a dream. How could I be so dense as to have a one night stand?
Shaking my head, I quickly dress and exit the small apartment. I don't bother with a note. It's not like he would have cared that I left at five in the morning. After all, he probably doesn't know my name. I do wonder what that noise was that woke me, but I wasn't going to stick around to investigate.
Surprisingly as I step outside, I realize I'm only a block away from my apartment building. Many workers that live in the building are stepping out as I go in, giving me disgusted looks. I ignore them, as I've done for five years now. Ah five years out of the closet, and I feel marvelous about it.
As I walk down the corridor to my apartment, I feel a odd presence behind me. I turn my head, only to see no one there. How unusual. Shaking my head, I unlock my door and step in, kicking my shoes off at the door. I sluggishly drag myself to the bathroom and strip myself of my liquor scented clothes.
The hot, steaming water slowly cascaded down my smooth toned chest, and over my tired face, making me sigh in content. As I began washing, I heard a click sound. My brows knit together as I tried to figure out what it could have been. I continue as if I didn't hear it, but soon I stepped out patting my self dry with a fluffy white towel, I hear it again.
My body instantly freezes in alarm. I wrap the towel around my waist and make my way into the kitchen hoping to uncover the item making this sound that unnerved me so. Since I couldn't uncover the mystery to my clicking sound, I dressed and slipped into bed letting darkness consume me.
