“For the last time! Yes I am 100% transferring to your school.” You then shoot a basket and score.
Turning around you face your friends Iris, Joe and Jaehyun who were all playing with you. They all went to the same school, and you were about to too.
“So this isn’t like a prank or anything?” Jaehyun asks you.
“Oh my god, did you not hear what I said?!” You sighed out, super agitated with the male who was asking you the questions.
“I’m just making sure.” He shrugs.
“You even dyed your hair silver and everything.” Iris said, running her hand through your newly dyed hair.
You didn’t live in the part of Seoul your friends lived in. It was the exact opposite side of the city you used to live in.
Your parents sent you out on your own to South Korea as they still lived in the states. To be more precise, they still lived in San Francisco, where you developed your love for basketball.
“Jaehyun do you have a better inflated ball?” You ask dribbling it a bit in dissatisfaction.
“Hmm? Yeah there’s one over th-”
“JAEHYUN?!” A voice screams out from outside the court.
Everybody turns their head in the direction and see a guy in a basketball jersey walking towards the gate, waving at his friend like crazy.
“Ten?” A smile creeps up Jaehyun’s face as he greets the guy.
The guy’s eyes skim over your other two friends until they land on you.
“Who’s this little cutie?” He asks Jaehyun, his arm resting on his shoulder.
“Oh, right. That’s (Y/N), (Y/N) this is Ten.” He introduces the two of you and he winks at you while you slightly cringe.
“Hey dude.” You say back.
“I can smell the friend zone.” Joe said from behind you as everybody laughed, Ten included.
“So you play?” He asks you as he could see the way you hold the basketball, was a way that not many would hold it.
“Do I play basketball?” You mock slightly. “Is that even a question.” You smile at him.
“I like this kid.” He smiles at you.
“Uh, she’s the same age as Iris and Chenle.” Jaehyun informs Ten as his smile drops a bit.
“Wait! You’re 16?” He asks, bewildered.
“Yeah, why?” You ask him.
“What the heck I thought you were like 13 or something. You’re so... small.” He looks down at you. He hit a nerve. Big time.
“HEY! JUST CUZ IM SHORT DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAVE TO PICK ON ME ABOUT IT!” You shout at him as he backs down a bit.
“Sheesh. Tiny but explosive.” He mumbles under his breath.
You cross your arms and ‘hmph’ angrily as he touched a sensitive spot.
“But for real. How tall are you?” He asks you.
“I’m 155 (5′1).” Your tone showed that you were very annoyed.
“And you play basketball?” He asks in bewilderment.
“Yes I do.” You say, still angry. Ten looks at Jaehyun, astonished how you could even play basketball well enough, considering your height.
“She’s really good. She’s better than me.” Jaehyun informs his friend. Ten was now really interested to see you play. Jaehyun was an amazing player in their team, and if you were better than him, that was saying a lot. Of course, he doubted it a bit.
“Stop over exaggerating.” Ten playfully hits his shoulder.
“Who said I was kidding?” He asked him, totally serious.
“Wait, so, you’re for real?” He asked, his voice getting a little higher as he was a bit embarrassed for doubting him.
“As real as it gets.” Iris says, jumping off of the bleachers.
“Iris!” Ten says happily.
“Hey!” She smiles at him. “Little Giant and I here, should play a game.” She suggests, coming next to you.
“Little what?” Ten asks.
“Little Giant. It’s my nickname from my old team.” You inform him, a smile creeping up onto your face.
You had to admit. It was really fun hanging around the guy. He seemed like a cool person.
“Little Giant huh?” He smirks. “I say you’re on.”
“I’ll be the ref. I’m too tired to play right now.” Joe sighs, getting up and off from the ground.
Throughout the game, the guys started getting a bit impatient as they had barely scored and started to play dirty.
“Hey that’s not fair! Joe!” You say as Jaehyun and Ten were laughing their asses off over the trick they did.
“Didn’t see it so it doesn’t count.” Joe said, typing away at his phone, not even moving his eyes to where you were.
“This ref sucks.” You say as you and Iris make a plan to chase around Jaehyun and Ten.
Sprinting towards them, they dropped the ball and started to sprint around the court making fun of you, saying things about how your short legs will never catch them.
After a while, you all run out of breath and rest, your backs against the fence, drinking the water in your bottles.
“I... swear to... God... I will... kill you both.” You breathe out, still trying to catch your breath.
“Yeah... good luck with that.” Jaehyun smiles playfully at you.
“Thanks.” You weakly smile at him.

“Settle down class!” The teacher yells at everybody.
Iris looks at the front of the classroom and knows what to expect.
“Today we have a new transfer student.” The teacher informs the class as they all begin to murmur.
Chenle looks at the font of the class. His interest was piqued by this. He scans the faces across the classroom and finds Iris smiling to herself.
The classroom door opens as you step in, your side bangs covering your left eye a bit.
The class is filled with murmurs a bit as you introduce yourself.
“Hello, I’m (Y/N). Please take care of me.” You bow. You raise your head and look at the people in your classroom.
Some were gawking, others were whispering, but this one guy piqued your interest in general.
He had slightly curly and messy blonde hair and was smiling slightly at you.
“(Y/N) you can go sit next to Iris over there.” The teacher directs at you as you nod and bow slightly, thanking her before walking off.
“Hey girl.” Iris smiles as you sit down next to her.
Sighing you plop down into your seat as you smile at her.
“I’m so tired.” You say a bit groggily.
“What happened to ‘hi I’m (Y/N)! Please take care of me.’” She mocks you while batting her eye lashes like crazy.
“Oh shut up you.” You playfully glare at her.
“Do you think they know each other?” Jisung asked Renjun.
“I mean probably. If they talked to each other informally then I guess so.” Renjun answers back.
Chenle was very interested in meeting you. He wanted to get to know you and how you knew Iris.
