Chapter 1
MARK
I spent all of last night crying. Why, you ask? Well because my 'baby' is possibly cheating on me. I know, I know I'm supposed to be a tough guy, not a stupid wimp who cries over a stupid kid promise. But life is life. In case you are confused, basically when me and my best friend Riley were 7, we promised each other we would always date and get married to each other. That worked up until about now. The stupid class clown,Bobby, had to interfere and now my 'girlfriend' possibly has a crush on that dimwit. He's a fucking bitch.
Me and Riley are walking hand and hand down the school hallway. She let's go of my hand as we turn the corner. Of course she does,considering Bobby's standing about 30 feet away. I love Riley so much and since I was 13 I've considered her my girlfriend, but apparently she think s different. We've never actually kissed or anything, but we hold hands everyday. I dont think that means anything to her and obviously she's forgotten about the promise. It was 8 years ago(not that I'm counting)."Hey I'm gonna talk to Bobby for a sec, meet you at lunch Marky." Said Riley with a grin. Then she walked away. I sigh. I walk to class and sit in the back corner in my usual spot. Oh great, here comes Casey. Casey is the cheerleading captain. She has a huge crush on me. Unfortunately for her, I hate her guts. Mainly because she hates Riley."Hiiiiii babe" she giggles. "Fuck off" I say " I'm not your babe and I never will be"I hate this chick ugh. She finally goes away after I practically yell at her. The rest of the day is the same as any other day so far, me and Riley are walking to the cafeteria to eat lunch. As we walk in I see Bobby so I grab her hand and pull her to our usual table and sit down. She looks at me funny. "What?" I ask. "Well I wanted to say hi to bobby." She says. Oof." Oh, um, I'm sorry I just, um nevermind." I say shyly. I look down at me feet. I'm pretty sure she is clueless that I'm in love with her. Which really sucks. The worst part is shes my only friend expect for a couple guys a barely know. When lunch is over we go outside to the parking lot because today was a half school day. We get in my truck and start to drive home. "Hey Riles your still coming over right?" I ask. "Hell yes" she says "I wouldn't miss one of your gaming sessions for anything" she smiles. I give her a weak smile. I'm not feeling the best but she makes me feel better. She always knows how to cheer me up. God I love her so much.
