Prologue: The Grave Visit
It was a clear bright day, the weather was nice, and the breeze is cool. A silhouette walked among the field and approached a tree, and the silhouette kneeled down under the tree. Upon closer look, there is a grave under the tree itself. Soon after, another silhouette approached and place a hand on the kneeling silhouette’s shoulder.
“Good morning, are you visiting his grave again?” the standing silhouette asked
“Yes, it puts my heart at ease each time I visited it.” The kneeling silhouette replied
“But you’ve been doing it for the past three years already, right?” the standing female said
“Yes, Claire. And I can never forget the moments we’ve had together. Until today, it is still etched onto my mind.” The kneeling girl said
“Warspite……..I’m sure he is happy and glad to found you. If not, I’m sure he won’t be able to be reunited with us in the end too.” Claire said with a sobbing tone.
“Yes…..shall I tell you how we met?” Warspite asked
“Sure, how about we discuss this over tea?” Claire suggested
“Ok.” Warspite replied
And both of them walked back to their residence.
As the front yard is filled with sounds of children’s shouts of joy, there are also birds chirping sounds and waves splashing sounds. Warspite and Claire sat down at the tea table placed in the front yard. Claire brewed a pot of tea and poured some for Warspite and herself.
“Thanks.” Warspite said
“You’re welcome, want some cookies as well?” Claire asked
“Oh, it’s okay.” Warspite rejected
“So, when did you and his story begin?” Claire asked
“…….Our story begins in the ruins of London.” Warspite said as she recalled
(Flashback)
*pant* *pant* “Darn it, I must seek shelter immediately. The Abyssal are closing in and if I can’t get some tending on these wounds…..I don’t know how much longer I can hold.” Warspite exclaimed while running
“Darn it…..my energy’s been wasted too much…I need to find energy supplies soon or I will….” Warspite fell to the ground before she could finish her sentence
“Am…I…going to…die…here?” Warspite muttered
“The….Abyssal…..We…Shipgirls……Lost the war……..We’re…Expendables…..” Warspite muttered as her vision became blurry. Then, she saw a silhouette walking towards her.
“Hu….man…? R….Run…..A…Abyssal……Dan…ger…..” Was what Warspite could muttered before losing conscious.
