"Magnificent! The horrors of war that those men and women alike suffered, both humbled me and made me glad that I have never had to experience such dreadful things. As a person who NEVER reads war stories, I was led to read the full novel from which this short story is taken, There is No Tomorrow, simply because it is a LOVE STORY, and have since read it several times. This excerpt makes one forget that it is essentially a work of fiction, as the characters bring to life the absolute atrocities of this period of warfare. I can recommend all work by this fantastic author."
