Chapter 1
“Where am I, why am I still alive?” he looked at me intently.
“You’re at a hospital right now, I’m the one who saved you from drowning last night.” I said in a monotonous voice.
“You don’t have to, my life had no meaning anymore,” he said. I walk to his bed and hold his face between my palms.
“Look, I know that I’m just a stranger to you but life is not something we can throw away easily.” I said to him.
“What’s your name?” I smiled at him.
“Lucien Wolf.” he whispered. I’ve heard that name before.
“I am Laurent van Hellan.” in time as the doctor came in.
“General van Hellan, how are you?” she smiled and I nod.
“You’re good to go madam. I’m sorry to say the patient you’ve saved had no record so he can’t leave.” she said.
“I’ll be responsible for him from now on.” I gathered my things and looked at him only to see he was crestfallen from what the doctor said.
“Lucien, from now on you’ll live with me.” He looked at me and shy smile began to form. We stopped by to the nearest mall and bought him some new clothing.
Months went by. Lucien became my secretary at MMW. As I flipped through document, something fell. I read the inscription.
‘Your time with Lucien is up.’
I flipped the paper and a familiar face staring back at me.
“Not this time Howl” I crumpled the paper till my knuckles turned white. As on queue, Lucian came in.
“What’s wrong?” he asked and I just smiled.
Days passed, leaving me anxiously waiting for Howl. To my despair he never came. Tonight was the full red moon and I was restless. To keep Lucian from sensing it I asked him to dinner. On our way there, suddenly a black mass appeared in front of our car.
“Equip!” silver wings covered our body from the collision.
“Well, well looks like Lucian can protect girly now” a spine chilling laugh filled the night. I looked at Lucian. He had silver wings and ready to fight.
“That is enough Howl leave us alone it is over,” he said in anger. I was shock he knew Howl. As if he sensed it, he looked at me.
“Sorry that I didn’t tell you, Howl is my twin” as he finished Howl appeared. With a speed of light Howl flew directly to Lucien with a sword in his hand.
“NOOO... Equip!” blood splattered everywhere. Lucien hold me up
“Why did you do that?” I pushed him away and summoned my sword Twilight. With all the strength I had left, I faced Howl.
“This is the end Howl, this is for my parents and Lucien,” red energy begins to emit from my sword.
“It is you who gonna die!” he charged towards me and my final blow hit him. Howl’s body burned into ashes. I fell on my knees and wiped the blood from my eye and collapsed.
I woke up and I tried to open my eyes. “Lucien,” a hand gripped mine. I looked to the right. I was only able to see him with my left eye.
“I am sorry Laurent, for all the suffering that Howl gave you,”
“Love, would you marry me?” Lucien kissed me.
