1. Lost

Andrew was lonely.

The sixteen years spent surrounded by family and friends were now meaningless memories; memories that always seemed to haunt him.

Looking back, he couldn't help but feel disappointed. He was disappointed in himself, in his so-called friends, in his parents and siblings.

He glanced up at the gray sky. It was a gloomy day, just a perfect match to his mood. The sun wasn't shining as brightly as it usually did, the clouds were covering most of the once soft blue colour.

The wind was blowing furiously as if trying to move Andrew out if its way; being an obstacle that should be removed wasn't new to him, though. He was used to it.

He had difficulty in moving on. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't forget the past. It was a constant reminder of the failure he was.

A single tear escaped its prison; his eyes filled with sadness. It slowly made its way down to his chin and fell on the ground. He hung his head down. Soon enough, more tears followed until he was silently crying.

He was in an entirely new location – in the middle of a field. There were a few small hills around it, unwillingly witnessing his pity party. To him that felt like they were quietly judging, low whispers being shared between them, unwanted sympathy thrown his way.

Everything was new. This world was new. The atmosphere was new. The land beneath his two bare feet was new.

After all, what did he expect when he was kicked out of the only place he had ever been at; the only place he had known of? He didn't know what to do with himself, all on his own with no idea where he actually was.
