Chapter 1 end of peace

A long time ago, there was magic living among the people. Spreading dread, fear and so much more.

This story began when the king of horrors defeated king Robert in a battle of supernatural and unspeakable creatures, taking over the throne.

But there is a prophecy that a savior would come and end the reign of terror, killing the king. The savior would come from the Tyrone family. But the king, scared of the prophecy, killed the Tyrone family.

Ayob, a member of this family successfully escaped with his son and daughter. He also took with him the last heiress of the kingdom, daughter of king Robert, Asya.

The Tyrone family lives far away in country side, in a peaceful farm. Ayob, old yet strong, his handsome son Asser who has orange hair just like his sister Malyka. Malyka is a strong young woman with a fierce soul. The last surviving heiress to the throne, daughter of King Robert, Asya who has a kind and thoughtful heart also grew up on the farm.

Like always, in the morning the family sits in the front yard, eating breakfast, looking at the beautiful and colourful flowers that grew there.

Ayob says, "Children, eat your breakfast."

Malyka in her playful way, "Father we are not children anymore."

"I know but after your mother's death it is hard for me to see you as adults." Ayob says with a broken voice.

Asser tries to cheer up his father,"Never mind father, she's always trying to seem grown up and intelligent."

Malyka hits her brother,"At least I am not a fool like you."

"Please don't start, you two!" Asya interrupts.

"Asser don't tease your twin sister." Ayob says weakly, "I will miss having breakfast with you, my children."

Malyka asks him shockingly, "what do you mean?"

"Nothing, my darling." Ayob comforts her.

They all hear a horse coming, immediately they know that it's Charles, the honorable knight. Charles gets off his horse and greets the family, "Good morning!"

They stand up respectfully, "Good morning, sir Charles."

Ayob gestures to go inside, "come Charles, we shall talk inside."

Malyka asks in a hushed voice, "What do you think is the important matter, father and Sir Charles talk about in secret?"

Asser teases his sister saying, "Only if you minded your own business that sheep wouldn't have escaped."

"It was your fault that the sheep escaped." Malyka replies harshly.

"I am going to feed the chickens,i can't bear you two arguing for the rest of the day!" Asya gets up and goes.

Charles looking out the window, "It seems that you haven't told them yet." He pauses and then continues, "It's a matter of time before he finds them."

"I know but maybe I can protect them without letting them know." Says Ayob.

"It's their right to know, Ayob." Charles looks him in the eyes, "Asya is the princess and i promised her father that i would help her reclaim the throne. You know that Asser is the only one who can defeat the king, it's the prophecy. "

"Yes Charles, you are right but I want to tell them when the time is right." Ayob says quietly.

Charles goes to the door, "Well, I will leave the matter to you. I have to get back to the castle, before the horror king finds out i am not there." They shake hands and Charles rides away on his horse leaving Ayob miserable and anxious, thinking about his son and Asya.

Sitting side by side on the grass, surrounded by gorgeous folwers Asser takes Asya's hand into his, "The beauty of these flowers fade away when i look at you."

Asya blushes and laughs, "You always flatter me with these words."

She grows silent and looks away. Asser puts his arms around her, "My love, why the sad face?"

Asya squeezes Asser's hand and links her fingers in his, " I keep having nightmares about my parents."

"But you told me that you don't remember them." Asser says.

Asya,"I know but it does not feel right what your father told us about my parents. I feel that they were not just simple farmers who died from a disease."

Asser replies with a shocked face, "Why do you think that? My father does not have a reason to lie." He tickles her, "Come on now, keep that pretty face laughing."

Asya's blushes, "Stop!" she throws grass on Asser.

Asser, "Ah! I will have my revenge!"

"Only if you catch me." Asya runs through the tall grass laughing, Asser chasing her.

In a silent night, the Tyrone family is preparing supper. They hear a horse approaching with fast steps. They look out of the window and see Sir Charles falling down from the horse. Ayob rushes out of the door, the kids just behind. Ayob reaches Charles, to see his old friend soaked in blood.

Sir Charles tries to reach for Ayob's hand Ayob holds his hand. Sir Charles whisperers in Ayob's ear with a weak voice, "The monster knows, he has always known."

A cold shiver runs down Ayob's body, "What do you mean?"

Charles coughs then whispers, "He used me all this time, to keep an eye on your family. He waited all this time to end this, to kill them. I am sorry, Ayob." Sir Charles' hand falls with his last breath. Leaving Ayob with sadness and anger for his friend. Ayob's face becomes pale and he begins to shake, his children look at him worriedly. Malyka puts a hand on Ayob's shoulder, "Sorry for your loss father, he was a kind man."

Out of nowhere skeleton soldiers appear riding on their dead horses. Ayob runs inside to get his sword, he shouts to Asser, "Take your sister and asya. Get out of here!"

Asser looks at him with sorrow, "But father."

Ayob shouts, "Do as I say!"

Asser grabs his twin sister and Asya running together, he turns around and sees his father being stabbed by a sharp hand of a skeleton soldier. Fresh blood oozing out of his body. Malyka looks where her brother is looking and shouts, "No father!"

Trying to rush to him, Asser stops her. Tears running down his cheeks, "We have to go, Malyka."
