Chapter 1 :I was poached

Thunder boomed above Asher's head. Lightning flashed through the windows. His little sister, Katelyn, with her short brown hair and dark brown eyes, clung to his side.

"Asher, I'm scared." he stroked her hair soothingly. "Don't be. It's just a little storm. It'll pass. And besides, we have Nighty to protect us." As soon as the sleek black cat heard her name, she leaped unto the bottom of the bunk bed and let out a soft meow. Asher grabbed her front paws and put them in the air.

"I'll protect you!" Asher said in a high pitched voice. Katelyn giggled. The storm wasn't so frightening anymore. As the storm began to quiet, little Katelyn fell asleep at her older brother's side. Nighty stood protectively in front of them.

Then, to herself, the cat spoke. "I won't let you feed on their fear. As the next Seer he can't be harmed by you, Snowly. I won't let him." The wisp of a white cat, drifting like a shadow, emerged from the dying winds. "Oh, you may think you can stop me, but I am bringing three of my pawns together. Here. It'll bring chaos and havoc. And he shan't understand. Nor she."

And while this happened, just beyond the window, a girl stood. And she was a Fae. Almost all Fae have powers. I'm one of them. I'm a ghost follower. That's a human term. I follow, I listing, I watch, but I never interact. And also I'm invisible, but my power is the power of storytelling. I'm a narrator. I'm not one of Snowly's pawns, cuz I'm already hear but my frie- actually I should probably get back to third person, or atleast talking in third person because I don't want to ruin tiny miniature mermaids of werecats and people that explode- oops.

Hey atleast I didn't go into detail about magic bags- I'm going to spoil everything. OK, back to the story. Snowly stalked to the black cat.

"Shadow Amethyst of the eight Kingdom, I am Snowly White. I declare that you shall surrender this human seer to me." The two cats locked eyes. An internal struggle for power grew. It wasn't very dramatic, just two cats trying to overthrow the power of another's mind, no dancing or prancing, no laser beams or smoke, but this battle would effect the path of life severely.

Suddenly, the cat of shadows lunged at the cat of snow. The white cat skidded across the ground. "I, Shadow Amethyst, of the eight kingdom, gaurdian of the seer, daughter of the dragon king, refuse." She released a mighty hiss.

The snowy cat responded, "You power is strong, your roots run deep, but you are only one dragitten. Being part dragon and part cat weakens your powers. I shall be victorious."She cackled. "When pigs can't fly!" taunted the other. "You do realize we're in the mortal world, right? Pigs actually don't fly here." Came the sassy reply from the evil cat. "Yeah no duh. The seer is a mortal. He's not going to live in any of the other kingdoms. Now go die in a hole. I want to have a peaceful patrol night." The she cat bared her fangs. "Actually I would never die in a hole. And you don't deserve to be graced with my presence." She sashayed through the wall. OK I'm taking a break to explain to you, she is a ghost cat. Comprendido? Good. She sashayed through the wall. "Hello, Fae. Can you believe that Shadow? So rude!" she asked the invisible Fae. "I'm not supposed to talk to you... Even though I already broke my own rules in first person point of view... And I'm breaking another now... I am going to change who I'm narrating for now."

"Hello Fae internet! I'm Kitara Moore, coming to you live from the Mariana trench! What animals will I find today? I don't know! What animal should I be? I don't know! I'm like a mindless zombie! Oh, maybe I should do a zombie animal.

Kathrein? Jazzy? Y'all here?" she held up her underwater Fae tablet and waved. "we told you we would be!" Jazzy's voice declared. "But Katherine burried her FaePod under ash from an explosion or something. Just me tody! And I'm thinking... Between the six-gill shark and the frilled shark, that-" they jinxed eachother, "-the frilled shark is way cooler!" they erupted in laughter.

"And I'll shift with my FaePod on my head so that it doesn't break from the water pressure." She stared into the small object. It was a small circle of glass surrounded by a representative of each of the main elements. A phoenix, a mermaid, a earth troll, and a wish dragon. Sometimes people confuse wish dragons as a fire element, but they do not breath fire, they breath very strong winds. Between the elements were emeralds, diamonds, rubys, and sapphires, the birth stone of each element. FaePods are magical tools, but right now that isn't really important.

Oh and I am the same person, btw. And I'm underwater, breathing, somehow. It probably is because of my powers, like Kitara's ability to shape shift gives her gills. And I'm narrating because I sensed the story here, and back to third person.

"You do realize those things are indestructible, right?" said Jazzy. "Eh. Better safe then sorry." she said lazily. "OK, so, today on Animals Gone Mortal, I'm presenting to you animals even the mortals don't know a lot about. I'll be a frilled shark today, and I am hoping to get an interview with my own kind. Let's go to the depths of the Mariana trench. But I'm getting this weird feeling... Like something is wrong."

The girl in the black and turquoise swimsuit with ankle long fire for hair had a good intuition, but she ignored it often. "Now my streamers, I shall become, the fearsome frilled shark! Dun dun dun! And remember, dedication, inspiration, creation, life destination. Always take risks. You only live once, unless your a vampire, zombie, ghost, wraith... OK, yeah a lot of us don't die. Well anyway, into the depths of the Mariana trench!" and so the shifter shifted.

Her body stretched, her bones cracked. Soon, she was not a human. "Let's go on a trip, in our favorite giant trench, soaring thought the waves, use your freaking brains." she sang. "I still feel like..."

A tremor shook the water.

From the black depths rose a submarine, clearly on the hunt for an interesting find. "Ok, tome to boot!" screamed kitara as harpoons shot forth from the machine. Several missed the frilled shark, retracting into the submarine. But one hit her in the tail. "Well heck. This hurts." Her blood seeped into the ocean.

She shifted again. This time, into a octopus. The harpoon had cut if one of her tenticals. She surged to the surface in a flurry of bubbles. She flung herself onto the beach, glancing around before shifting back to her normal form. Her FaePod appeared on her head. "Hey girl, are you OK? I mean, you took a harpoon to the thigh. I'll be there in JAS. TiMe To TeLePoRt!"

Kitara groaned on the sandy shores. "Jazzy I'm PF. Why do we have to have 'just a second' and 'perfectly fine' shortened? You know what, I don't care. Hey will you bring me back up to Alaska so I can be on time for school this year?" Jazzy was next to her. " Yeah, that makes sense. And it's our first year going to school together!" Kitara whined. "You seriously don't know how weak I am with humans. I can barely handle the annoying ones, but the ones that are nice... I'm a disaster. I just want to get back to Salcha, eat a pie, curl up on the grass and watch the stars with the wildlife. I heard they are dancing out that film where the mortals discover us. Just get me a bandaid if you can."

Jazzy teleported her shifter friend back to the forest on Canaday Road. She retrieved a bandaid: one of the big ones. By then the wound had leaves wrapped around it, but the bandaid would be useful for hiding it the next day in school. And that wouldn't be all they needed to hide
