Chapter 1
She brought in her bags and looked around the entrance of the house. Was it a house? It had to be as big as the white house. This is a bad idea, everything was white and gleaming as if they were polished everyday of every second, and she was covered in mud. Taking off her shoes and shoving them in her bag, looking around she walked a few steps forward on the white and golden floor before a voice boomed from stairs in front of her.
“YOU MADE IT!!” the deep voice boomed before she could look up at the man she was swept up in a lung crushing hug. Tensing all she could do was pat his back as she tried to keep breathing or more so attempted to breathe.
“DARLING! Your collapsing the poor girls lungs!” a soft but powerful female voice called out to the man.
“Oh shit. I’m so sorry Hun.” the man said before setting her own to the floor. When had he picked her up? Looking up she was met with a warm smiling face, long dirty blonde was tied back into a small man-bun, a slight beard was forming not completely full but was there, his golden eyes shined with streaks of grey almost like a cloud in front of the sun, lightly tanned skin making him look like he was outside often. Very good looking, then the women stepped around him and her breath stopped in her lungs. Her long wavy brown cascaded down her back, her moon touched skin was perfectly smooth, deep olive eyes smile at her as her pale pink rose lips smiled at her.
She looked down and felt her cheeks get hot. Her brown hair swooped down in front of her face hiding her blue ash eyes, her skin was pale but moon kissed or flawless, light freckles dotted across her nose and under her eyes, her pale pink lips held a tight line as she tried to keep the gasp of wonder quiet.
A soft delicate hand lifted up her head and she was met with a smile, the women held her gaze, watching her slightly before hugging her softly.
“You have nothing to be scared of,” she whispered softly, her voice as soft as a mothers would be talking to a newborn. “My husbands just excited to finally have you here. We’re both very excited.” she ran her delicate hand through her hair as she kept her close. A stronger pair of arms came around her and enclose both of them in a hug. Not as crushing as before but strength was behind his hug, as if it was taking all of his will not to crush them.
“I’m Hera by the way darling, your mother. You do not have to call me so until you feel comfortable. My husband Zeus is the man that won’t let us go until our lungs come out.” she said joking and laughing softly.
The man, or Zeus, started laughing a deep belly laugh. Letting them go as he smiled, she couldn’t help but smile back. Something was off slightly but she was okay being here. It was better than the orphanage.
Everything happened so with no time to breathe. They had showed her the rest of the house, the formal dining area, the kitchen, the giant library that could but the beauty and the beast library to shame, the smaller family dining, the garden, and then finally her room. Her room was huge, an to say huge was putting it to shame. A full king size purple be with tied back curtains was facing towards north of the room, a full walk in closet that she could possibly get lost in, a bathroom with a giant tub and glass shower. The room was decorated in purple, black, silver, and soft grey. The bathroom had, soft blues, greens and grey. You’d think they would clash an yet it fit so perfectly. Looking up her ceiling it was black with stars and wisps, making it seem like every time she moved it moved with her in different designs.
Her few boxes lay by the closet seeming nothing in this room fit for gods. Hera and Zeus left her to unpack and get ready for dinner with the rest of the family. Ares the oldest, Hebe, Eileithyia or Eli for short, Hephaestus, Eris, Angelos, and Enyo. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it but she knew those names somehow. She chuckled at the names of her new parents Zeus and Hera, Greek gods. Someone really loves Greece but the possibility of them meeting and being together is something out of a story. Unpacking her clothes, books, knickknacks, and some personal belongings she started to place things around the room. When she was done her closet didn’t even have a dent in it. She stared at the sadly filled closet and knew she would have to go shopping soon. now she needed to go get ready for dinner with the Gods.
