Mary groaned as she woke up to her alarm. She turned the merry toon off and slowly got out of bed the way her physical therapist had shown her months ago. Her back felt numb, as if someone was lighting it on fire. Deciding to take a warm shower to loosen up her machine muscles, she set out a nice outfit and went to the bathroom that was connected to her bedroom.

0

She ran the warm shower and stood in the water for a bit, allowing her body to relax and loosen up a bit. After a while, Mary got out and wrapped a towel around herself before going back to her bedroom and getting dressed into a loose red crop top with a hood and light red skinny jeans. She put her hair up into a messy bun to keep it out of the way.

She did her daily exercise before checking the time and heading down the stairs for a quick breakfast of toast – she wasn't really hungry in the mornings since she usually grabbed a small snack during the night.

"Alright, you can do this Mary." Mary prepped herself as she gathered her things. She read over her speech one more time and checked the time again. "It's just s bunch of high schoolers. You've done plenty of middle schools, so there isn't much of a difference."

0

With that, she set off to her car and double checked one more time that she had everything before driving off.

Cora: Decent story. Slightly predictable turn of events but I didn't think at this point it was a possible twist! I enjoy the stream of thought writing style this has, though some proofreading and punctuation could help a few spots. Recommend this for ebooks and forgive a few confusing errors. Enjoyable t...
