Prologue: The Tribe of Magi
‘Daehyun! Hey Daehyun woke up’
I slowly open my eyes then look at the person who keeps calling me, I rose up from my bed sleepily and asked her “What is it?”
“Finally you’re awake!” She said then stand up straight “Jaehyun is calling you, he’s waiting downstairs” she added before she proceeds to my door to cook some breakfast for us
I got up in my bed and open my window to let the sunlight illuminate my room and after that I got some leather tunic and pants in my closet and wear them and then I proceed to open the door that leads downstair.
As soon as my foot step into the floor downstairs I saw a man who’s grinning widely, ‘sighs’ What does he want early this morning? And base on his grin I’m sure he’ll offer me some bullshits again
“Good morning Daehyun ha ha! I got something to you, its not some bullshits I promise you, this offer will make you rich!” He exclaimed happily as he gestured his hand to sit beside him, my sister Eunseoh put some dishes in our table and sit there and eat silently not minding Jaehyun because she’s tired of his bullshits too.
I sat beside him and grab some chicken in the table to eat “What is it?” I asked I’m sure it’s all about robbering some store nearby again
“Well actually this offer is from the government...” he started, he pick out some parchment in his pocket and give it to me, I open the sealed parchment and saw the letter containing about the expedition on the unknown island and my name is written on it “You’re a lucky guy Daehyun! The government picks interest to you!” He continued.
I fold the paper neatly and give them back to Jaehyun “More sound like a death trap to me” I muttered and finished my meal.
“Come on Daehyun! It’s a once in a lifetime request from the government!” He insisted when it’s clearly obvious that their using me as a bait into that fcking island.
I got up into my feet drag Jaehyun into the front door “Listen Jaehyun, I can accept any work you offer to me but not this one, not this one with an island” I explained to him
“But why?” He asked
“The island they’re talking about is the island of the gods” i answered him then continue to explain “ an isalnd on where the three major races there have an equal amount of power, a power on which can destroy us Genus”
“How did you know that?” He shockingly asked
“Nevermind just get out of here and never bother me again with that kind of offer” i finished our conversation and slam the door of oir house, my sister looking at me intently asked me if the offer have something to do with the Island of the gods and I nodded as an answere and proceed at our backyard to gather some woods.

Days passed and I thank the gods beacuse Jaehyun never bother me after that incident
