Runaway

The smoke kept entering the room as a five year old girl makes her escape through the window.

She runs across the street trying to get as far away from the house as possible. She can hear firetrucks in the distance but she knows it's too late.

Her whole family is gone and she has no one to turn to.

The dry leaves crunch under her feet as she runs not knowing where to go. She runs through town and into the woods.

She keeps running and running until she collapses on the ground.

Months have passed by and Natalie still lives. Life as a runaway isn't that easy but there is a small supermarket close by that she can steal from now and then.

She lives in constant fear and her worst enemy are people.
