Of drugs and cuts 2

Chapter 1

The supposed mental hospital was somehow bustling with activity. But of course, it was a new year. Right smack in the middle of the canteen were the few senior counsellors preparing for that night's event--a prom.

At a corner of the "room" were four friends, striking up what was meant to be a carefree conversation.

The boy with sea-green eyes had intertwined his fingers with a girl beside him. Her grey eyes, once dull from worries were now sparkling with joy. The other boy and the last girl would occasionally catch each other's glare and blush like nobody's business. They weren't really the oldest of all the people there, but their experiences could have been said to be four of the toughest yet.

As for the hospital, it was now under Dr Aphrodite Venus who was currently planning it into a part summer camp/ part counseling place thing.

But work was still under way.

"Drinks?"

The four look up to see the smiling face of Silena Beauregard, her hands intertwined with that of Charles Beckendorf.

Each of them took a cup, muttered their thanks and drank it.

Percy Jackson got up and dusted his jeans.

"Guys I'll be going to the library."

Nico spat out orange juice.

"Really Kelp Head?" Thalia wasn't really doing any better. Her eyes were wide open, and I mean seriously opened.

"I guess Annabeth's habits are wiping off on me and well, the books do distract me from the other ......... stuff."

For a moment, his eyes dulled to a certain degree, but they soon returned to their original shade as he muttered a quick good-bye and headed off.

In a particular office, Aphrodite was thinking hard trying to come up with a name for her summer camp/counseling building plans.

She finally settled on one.

"Camp Half-Blood."

Vika Kostyuk: NGL, when I read the title of the story as 'Buried Alive' and saw a pregnant woman on the cover, I was expecting it to get sad, dark and brutally painful, maybe depressing, but as they say never judge a book by it's cover and title. The first chapter did bring sadness and tackled depressing parts wit...
