The Ventriloquist

What could bring someone to kill? Insanity? Repressed issues? Its hard to tell, but we all reside to one answer; soulless beings. Soulless beings target those who make them feel soulless, for they themselves know nothing more than who they are; cold hearted. It is the innocence, vibrant and purity of a child that opposes darkness. It is almost a threat to their 'kind'. And when the threat becomes to big, the darkness of the cold hearted being reaches towards harmful objects and forces its sentient to destroy the threat. But, who is at fault?

At first light, it is the person in which the soulless 'thing' resides within. The voice of reason should lie within it, and fight it at all costs. But once the real criminal makes a home for itself inside the voice of reason, it no longer feels the need to stand up for itself. It is almost like strings have been attached to to it, and it is controlling the voice of reason to narrate its own little story.

But what is this story? Victory? Revenge? Just sick and twisted nature itself? Now, nobody knows who the real culprit is, but as regular beings, what we see is what we assume. Assumptions are critical flaws in all crimes and cases, for we believe that our eyes never deceive us, and the thing we see is the only one at fault.

But what happens when the soulless 'thing' is a sentient? When what we see is not what we expect. Do we still believe our eyes never deceive?

It is the unfortunate tragedy of a small pizzeria that led to this deep thought process. It had its fair share of ups and downs, seemingly the pizzerias fault. But, the children loved the place, it was a safe haven in which their lives could be tossed out the window for a mere few hours, and their true innocence and vibrant happiness could be shown at its strongest. Their love for the four animatronic animals which hosted their enchanted wonderland never died, but their assumption towards them was turned down by those who thought they knew best, but was actually true.

These robots were alive, though they tried their best to seem as plastic and computer run as they could. But, in truth, they were controlled, but not by a computer or technological gadget. They were controlled by a soulless being and haunted by its sentient, pulled left right and centre by its mind twisting strings. But, what is alive, is also conscious, and would fight for their lives. The battle between innocence and darkness had begun...
