Prologue
Raindrops danced on my skin, while I flinched from the loud thunder.
I turned around, and there he was.
He was standing right there, on the edge of the rooftop.
A look of conflict washed over his features before he took another step forward.
My heart stopped, as my blood ran cold.
No...what is he doing?
He was about to take the last step when I shouted,
“HAYDEN, STOP!”
He stopped in his tracks instantly and turned around, meeting my eyes.
Eyes that held fear.
He smiled sadly, before leaning back.
