Chapter one | 1

The alarm clock went off, it was the 6th time it was snoozing. She tapped on the head of the clock. She lazily opened her eyes and stretched out her arms in the air yawning.

She sat down on her comfy bed. Her eyes widened as she saw the small clock hand on 8 and the big one showed 3 minutes. And school starts at 8. FREAKING 8!

She jumped out of her bed in a hurry. She picked her school uniform laying on the floor and put it on. She dashed to the bathroom. She looked at the mirror her bedraggled black hair was tangled and sticking out in odd directions. She sighed as she took the comb to neaten this mess, a real pain in the ass. She quickly brushed her teeth and washed her face. Make up? She doesn't wear that. And finally, she rushed to the door.

'Bye, mom,' she shouted and stormed out the house.

She darted to the school with all her might. Unfortunately, her efforts didn't pay her well, no one was there in the corridors, which meant everyone was in the class.

'Oh my god, I'm literally dead...' She mumbled under her breath. She ruffled her hair into a mess.

She walked past the lockers where only her footsteps echoed. Now, she was standing in front of the door 2-b. Taking a deep breath, she was hesitating about stepping into the classroom.

'Should I skip the class? Should I walk inside? If I walk inside that means I'm willing to accept punishment from Mrs Bentley and in addition the 33 pairs of eyes staring into my soul. I can't do this.' She shook her head.

After making her final decision, she walked to the cafeteria. Just like a jelly she crushed on the table. The head on her left stretched arm, she slowly fell asleep.

An abrupt bang on the table, woke her up. Her heartbeat fastened at the sudden shock. Irritated, she looked up. A tall student was standing in front of her. A guy around Nora's age, with brown eyes and darker hair. He had this perfect sharp nose that anyone would which for. And middle-sized lips with the lower lip slightly bigger which fitted perfectly on his face.

'What was that for?' she hissed.

'Hey, Nora!' he smiled as if nothing happened.

Nora raised her eyebrow in confusion.

How does he know my name? Do I know him? Why don't recognize him?

'Hi,' she replied, 'But do I know you? I don't think I've seen you before...' she added.

He shrugged.

'Will you go out with me?' he blurted out.

For a slight moment Nora had her heart flustered but then her paranoiac side peeked out and stopped the adrenaline I her body doing anything stupid.

'If you are here to waste my time, I must tell you to get out of my face,' she retorted.

He clearly didn't see that coming. But a smile immediately displayed on his face. He pulled the chair in front of him and sat down. Face supported by his hand, he looked at Nora straight into her eyes.

'I'm not planning onto wasting your time...'

'Then what is it?' she cut him off in the middle of his sentence.

'I really mean it; I really want to be with you,' he answered.

To her surprise, her mind went blank, not providing her anything to defend herself.

'So, are you in?'

What does he think? That I will say yes? Is he crazy?

'What makes you think I'll accept this kind of offer from a guy I met minutes ago?'

'I don't know, I wanted to give it a try. Plus, I wanted to make my intentions clear, I didn't want to tell you "Oh, I just wanted to become friends with you, you seem so fun to hang out with." I'm pretty straightforward.'

Nora raised her hand as a 'geez, stop talking man'. He got the message pretty quick.

'Come on, man. I get that you're straight forward. But to the point to forget to introduce yourself first... Okay that was to's many to's in one sentence. Back to the point. You got the order all wrong, buddy.'

He chuckled at his own clumsiness, he completely forgot that part.

'Okay, I get it. Let's start over,' he said.

'What? Is it some kind of game to start over if you lose?' she asked annoyed.

Avoiding the questions, he introduced himself, 'I'm Lucas Davis, nice to meet you Nora Kyle.'

Nora had enough for today. She sighed and left the cafeteria while Lucas watched her silhouette disappear.

Knowing her, he knew something like this would happen. But he was satisfied with the interaction they had. He had now a strong impression on her and that's what he needed.

During the rest of day Nora couldn't get that bastard of her head.

Was is it because he was so hot? Or is it just because he is the craziest guy she met in this high school? Whatever it was she just needed to forget about today's fuss and jumped into a warm shower.

After her quick shower, she clambered into her bed and laid down facing the ceiling eyes closed. She was about to drift off to sleep, when her phone buzzed.

"Hey! This is Lucas."

She tossed her phone, the last thing she wanted to do now was to deal with this madman.
