Chapter 1
He’s out there. I know it. I could feel his eyes on me as I drove down the winding road. I turned the radio up trying to cover my racing heart. He could hear it though, I was sure. I shivered as a shadow rushed past my car. I slowed to turn down the dirt road almost home. Almost there. I bit my lip and clenched the steering wheel. I sighed as I saw the familiar mailbox and pulled in. I scanned the yard as I opened the garage, slowly pulling in to park. And closing the door. I quickly grabbed my purse and rushed out of the car, slamming the car door. I rushed inside and released a giggle. I rushed down the hall to the master room and slammed the bathroom door closed. I giggled again hearing the tall tale sound of claws hitting the hardwood floor. A growl turned into a deep groan.
“Vivian… open the door.” I shivered at his voice. My insides flipped around. I set my purse on the counter and started the shower.
“Gabriel, we talked about this. Shower first. I just got off work.” I smirked hearing him growl again. I giggled as I heard a thud against the door, no doubt his head.
“Woman… Fine.” I watched as his feet retreated from the door. I quickly undressed and jumped in the shower for a quick wash and shave. Once satisfied that I was clean I dried off, giving my hair a quick toss, I eyed the door. I felt my skin flush knowing what was going to happen. I could almost hear his heart stop as the lock clicked and I turned the doorknob. Stepping out I was greeted with him laying on the bed, naked as the day he was born, unashamed and ready.
“Mate, let me help you.” His eyes almost glowed with desire. I smiled and dropped the towel tossing it to the side.

I sighed typing up the last report for work. It was a mundane job, but someone had to do it. I was ready for the weekend. It felt like Gabriel, my mate, and I haven’t had anytime by ourselves since we first mated. As was expected unfortunately for the Alpha and Luna. We had much to do and a pack to monitor. Luckily the office was going to be closed for the weekend.
I nodded politely at the other workers who managed the office with me. Only 30 more minutes I reminded myself as I copied the report in case of an accident with the computers. As I went to grab the copy a lightening hot jolt ran through my body. I grabbed the machine leaning over panting. My body was burning up, my insides felt muddled. And I needed my mate. I shivered at the thought of Gabriel. After 6 months my heat had finally came. I groaned and stood straight trying to dampen the affects. A few collected breaths and grabbed the papers.
I could feel the eyes on me as I walked back to my desk in the main office. I quickly put away the folders and papers breathing hard. My thighs clenched together as Gabriel’s picture flashed on my phone. I had to clear my throat to pick up.
“Hello.” My voice was huskier than normal.
“Home. Now.” He growled. I shivered and felt my stomach clench in desire. He no doubt felt my need.
“Yes, see you soon, and I love you.” I said hanging up. Anymore of his voice and I might not make it home. I quickly locked up the office and made sure the building was clear before leaving.
Got you covered. A text from our Beta Daniel. I felt so relieved. Heats lasted for a week at a time.
“This will help until you get home.” My best friend Trinity came up beside me. I jumped, I hadn’t even smelt her. She smiled knowingly and handed me a ointment container.
“Just a tab on your stomach, don’t worry, a quick shower and you’ll be back on full force.” She smiled. I took the container and quickly rubbed on my abdomen, instantly the needy feeling was now a dull burn. I could now focus and aware of my surroundings.
“Thank you, I should hurry.” I laughed and waved. She waved back as she went to her own car. I felt impatient to get home. A few voice commands and I had messaged Gabriel that a shower was first when I got home. It was a 15 minute drive home and I knew my mate was impatient.

“I love you too, mate. Now get some sleep before I decide we need to go again.” I said kissing his chest. He gave a throaty laugh before rubbing my back.
