Preface

''Time to sleep.'' kids got in bed quickly, they were tired because they had spent all day working. Anyway, nobody dares to disobey a viking mother from VII century.

''We're being attacked!'' The neighbor shouted, Astri took her axe and her shield.

She kissed her children and pray the gods to don't take her to Valhalla that day.

As soon as she found it, she joined the group of shielmaidens. They were surrounding the terrorific attacker.

On the floor, there was a hurt young boy, the pain was visible over his face.

''No!'' he cried extending his arms to them, with the empty hands open. Astri put her shield down.

His appearance was regular, there was just one thing that made him inhuman, a great pair of black wings in his back.

'' Kill him!'' The stupid earl shouted.

That's what they were about to do, but Astri had mercy for that poor creature, she couldn't damage him.

At least fourty warriors got near to him, armed with swords, axes and shields. He got up with difficulties and closed his eyes for three seconds.

''Vindr.'' He whispered while putting his hand in a birch. Then he moved his hand a little and goddes Frigga sacred tree, fell over the warriors.

Astri understood that she had to kill the monster if she wanted to drink with the gods.

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel

Ashley: I enjoyed the story. It was a short one so the fast pace fit. I think something should be put in to show a time jump between paragraphs like a "****" just to make it easier to follow when we skip to the next day week or month. Over all a good read.
