Chapter 1: I Looked At Sammy With Longing
I loved this woman. I needed this woman.
"I’m sorry I kissed that bitch."
" It was a big mistake."
" I want you. Only you."
" I will be happy if you come back to the pack house."
" I will let you have another room if you will just wake up and come home."
I didn’t know she heard me. I stood up and leaned over and kissed her forehead. I turned and walked out of the room. It was two days before I really woke up. I was weak and depressed. I cried a lot. I held each of my babies and wondered at how different each of them was. I noticed that the boys would not sleep unless their sister was between them. Even at this young age, they were protective of her.
Renegade came to the hospital and sat holding each of the kids. He would look at me every now and then. I waited for him to talk to me.
"Sammy, will you come back to the pack house?"
" You don’t have to share our room with me."
" I will get you another room."
" But please come home."
"We don’t even have to talk to each other."
" I just need to have you and our children close by."
" Say you will come home."
" "I will come home but I will not share a bed with you."
"I don’t trust you anymore."
I said with a tear sliding down my face.
"I can’t get over seeing you and her. You tore my heart out that day."
"I’m sorry."
" I messed up, but I will never do anything like that again."
"I don’t believe you."
"But I will come home."
" I want a room as far away from our old one as possible."
" I will continue my Luna duties but not sleep with you."
" I’m sorry, I just can’t do that."
" Not right now."
" I don’t know that I can forgive you."
I sighed. I don’t know how I can get her to forgive me. I love her and I want only her. I will wait forever if I must.
