"So Katie I heard someone new moved in with you?" Mark said while looking at Katie's Hazel eyes. "Oh yeah," She responded awkwardly. "His name is Kai, Kai Smith," she said while looking at Kai who was walking in the hallway. Kai smiles and waves at the two. Mark glances a death glare at him and grabs Katie's hand and storms off. "He gives me bad vibes Katie. Do not hang out with him." Mark said while hugging Katie. She openly pushes him off. "Mark. I don't judge people by what others think . I will hang out with him and I will decide if he has bad vibes." she looks at Mark and walks away to Kai's direction. Mark left in shock knows what he has to do. "Hey Kai!" Katie says while trying to catch up with him. Slowing down for the short girl Kai flashes her a smile "Hi Katie, can you help me get to class 123?" He said stopping completely. Katie looks at Kai's grey eyes and smiles "Lucky for you that's my class!" Katie grabs his hand and drags him to the class not noticing they're late. "Ms.Harris, Mr. Smith. You're late. Detention" Mr. Cruz said. "Sorry," they said in union slowly going to their seats. "Now that they are here. I'm gonna tell y'all the assignment for tomorrow. You guys have 24 hours to write a whole song. Each of you are already paired so Kai and Katie you'll be working together." The confused two look at each other and back to Mr. Cruz. "You guys may be dismissed." While everyone left the class, Katie and Kai stayed there starting to come up with ideas for a song. "So Kai...you have experience with writing songs?" Katie asked trying to break the silence. Kai snapped out of the trans he was in and quickly answered. "Oh yeah, as a matter of fact, I'm a songwriter." Kai gave Katie a reassuring smile. Mr. Cruz came to notice the two were still in class. "Can both of you please finish this conversation in your dorms?" The two quickly left. Mark got a hold of Katie and quickly dragged her away from Kai. "Katie didn't I tell you to stay away from Kai?!?" Mark yelled at the short girl. "And didn't I tell you to back off," Katie responded to the hot-tempered brat. She picked up her dirty blonde hair into a ponytail and walked away. Near the lockers stayed an annoyed Mark. He knows he shouldn't do anything but that isn't what matters. What matters is that Katie belonged to him even if she didn’t know it yet.
