Thursday

I was sprinting down the hallway to my next class. I tried to get there as fast as I could, but I was still late. I had just missed it! I decided to just skip class and go to the field and watch the boy's play sports.

When I went to the field, I saw Cash, my boyfriend. When he saw me watching him play, he smirked which almost made me fall off the face of the Earth! He was that dreamy! He waved at me, I waved back at him and smiled. He turned away and continued to play sports with his team mates. I didn't really know what sport exactly they were playing but It didn't matter.

I just sat there, thinking....waiting.

Today is the second last day of school before the Summer break. Everyone, including me, are exhausted and ready to get out of this living hell!

I waited for the bell to ring which would indicate that the period is over, it felt like hours before the bell actually rang. I got up and started walking towards the entrance to the school from the field but was stopped by a muscular pair of arms that wrapped around my waist. Their body was warm and a little sweaty too, but I didn't mind it. I felt a warm heavy breath down my neck. I started to giggle because it was so ticklish. I turned around and standing infront of me was Cash Baker.

He gave me a wink and a smile. I couldn't help but laugh at his attempt to wink. He looked down at me, eyebrows raised with a sarcastic, unimpressed look on his face which made me laugh even more.

I stopped laughing and gave him a big hug. He hugged me back and held on tight. I tried to escape his grip, but he wouldn't let me go.

"Cash," I pleaded, " I need to get to class! I was already late for English, why do you think I'm here?"

Cash smirked at me and I couldn't help but let a small grin escape across my face. "Well, maybe because I'm your boyfriend."

We both started laughing.

"Ok! Ok! But I seriously need to go."

"Fine! But we will continue this after school." He gave me his signature smile and a peck on the cheek.

"Oh my word! See ya later."

Then Cash said something that I hadn't heard in a while, "Bye Babe."

When he called me "babe", I cringed a little. I felt uncomfortable and hesitated before I started making my way back to my next class.

School was boring today, as always. Nothing exciting happened that is even worth writing down in my diary!

-End of school-

I saw my best friend, Lilly in the hall while I was putting my books in my locker. She ran up to me screaming which I swear could've cracked the windows or pierced my brain!

"Hey Mackenzie!" Lilly excitedly screamed. "I can't believe it's almost Summer Break!"

"Yeah me too." I felt very distracted from her because I was searching the crowded hallway for Cash. "Uh, Lilly, have you seen Cash anywhere?"

"Oh, um, nope. Sorry."

"Oh, well, thanks anyway!" There was a short pause between the two of us and I felt a bit awkward.

"How's it been between you and Cash...?" Lilly had a concerned look on her face, "No problems, right?"

"Oh sorry, I didn't know you were my therapist now."

We both laughed. It was good to laugh.

"Cash and I are fine! We have just been a bit busy lately, that's all."

Lilly mumbled something under her breath but I hadn't heard what she had said.

I felt a little guilty because I had just lied to my best friend! I hadn't been busy at all and neither had Cash. We had just grown apart. But that was all about to change because I had planned my Summer out perfectly. I'm really excited for summer break because I'm going to spend my Summer with Cash.

I was just about to ask Lilly what she had said when a pair of muscular arms wrapped around me from behind and held on tight. Lilly's mouth was hanging open and her eyes were basically popping out of her sockets. I was really confuses but giggled and wasn't suprised when I turned around and saw Cash.

Cash was smiling his smile and so I just constantly smiled back. It had been so long since Cash and I touched, let alone spoke! I didn't realise how much of a big part he played in my life until he really was gone! And it was so good to have him back.

There was an awkward silence and a sort of staring competition happening between Cash and myself. Lilly fake coughed, I said goodbye to Cash and then her and I stated walking home together. Lilly almost always came over to my house because it is so close to hers. We live literally two houses away from eachother.
