Prologue

October 6, 2198, Orbit of Mars

Six months earlier, we tried in vain to convince the central senate of the galaxy to avoid the takeover of our land by the Religious Federation of Archolyions. In their eyes, we emerge as an impolite society harmful and unstable. The representatives held financial and diplomatic interests in the conflict they decide to consent to the empire’s request. The future of a second-rate civilization in a small solar system seems irrelevant to them.

This behemoth civilization has long wanted our territory for its minerals. The bottom of our oceans contains an abundant material, unknown to humans until now, the xedon. This nasty pebble constitutes a vital element in the development, manufacture and scientific research of firepower. The Archolyions claimed honorable explanations to annex our lands, but the different nations of the council knew their true intentions.

The Archolyions fought on their borders, close to their capital, against an enemy, the Essgong, a sadistic and barbarous race. For this galactic arms race between those species, pure xedon represents a crucial necessity for the weaponry.

We collapsed like a card game that falls without any resistance. Today, humanity, at the orbit of Mars, is preparing for the operation “hope” as its name suggests, it illustrates the ultimate attempt.

The president of the United Nations on Earth Jonathan Frieuz through digital communication delivers a speech of encouragement for these brave soldiers. The leader doesn’t have a physique that meets the standard of beauty, a round belly and suffering from severe baldness, but his charisma charmed the crowds.

Good evening! Dear patriots and allies of justice, I personally thank all of you for your support in protecting against this vile oppressor. We will remember this day for centuries to come as the mother of all wars. This conflict opposes our species from everything we fight for. The humans of our blue planet look up at each one of you with great pride and enthusiasm. We stand certain that the United Planet of Earth will emerge as the only winner.

Jonathan, in a frantic tone, amplified his voice to the limit of shouting his address like a catapult sending his words through the microphone. With his fist raised, he continues his memorable speech.

—History will remember you as our valiant warriors who saved humanity. For millennia, God has lived and protected from all the danger and anger in this universe. The blue planet is and always will be independent and free! We enjoy our destiny and liberty!

Through hundreds of vessels in the geo-orbital position of the red star. The soldiers shouted and cheers, “LIBERTY.”

The last bastion constitutes the home of 275 million fighters, including allied civilization. “If he can fly, we take it.” It was the government’s main requisition motto. To facilitate the recruitment of manpower, all prisoners were offered total absolution in exchange for their help in the war. The human species is at risk of extinction, they were absolutely no limits to make victory ours.

A few month age, an outpost was constructed for the invasion. Everyone was running like hell to finish the preparation of the imminent attack. A few weeks earlier, plenty of wide-range laser canons were fixed on the nearest mount. The Earth Government also establishes an underground base complex at several kilometers deep for the instruction and the planning of the whole defense strategy. Only essential staff and some security guard were allowed in the dark situation room. In a row like a school class, about fifteen soldiers report crucial information to their bridge superiors. The protection tactic is separated between four officers at the rank of vice-admirals. Julie Primeau, a tyrannical personality from the region of Canada, is in control of every action in the red soil of Mars. The orbital defense plan was divided into three sectors: Alpha zone constitutes the responsibility of James Copperfield, from the province of New Zealand, a young man who rises fast the military forces. Antoine Clavet, a small body with a big mustache from the district of France, was managing the Bravo area. Takenao Makino, a muscle person from the special state of Japan, was in supervision of the Charlie region. In the middle of the room, you saw the leader and his lieutenant Bryan. The men faces bluish by the holographic reflection that display the position of the different navy in real time. The excitement remained for a brief moment as the radars began to flash like a Christmas tree.

—Admiral Barson!, I detect approximately sixty Archolyions galleons in approaches. The ships will be within the range of about fifteen minutes. Tell Bryan in a playful tone. The communications lieutenant felt reassured by the small number of enemies.

Admiral Barson, at the helm of operation, with its chubby physique, releases a long sigh.

—This mission will be easier than I thought! remarked Barson.

The puzzled admiral reflects by rubbing his beard.

—This empire has annexed hundreds of civilizations, they can’t be so stupid! inform the commandment.

-Or the 125 warships of The Majesty Meliona. Say Nemorf, the representative of the Fliotilis. This species features to live with telepathic faculties such as integrated wifi. Their appearance had characteristics, without a shadow of a doubt, distinct from our own, whether by the height and size of an average human. The yellowish epidermis produces, by a biological process of their bodies, a fascinating foul-smelling mucous membrane that removes germs naturally.

—We symbolize a beautiful coalition of friendship and mutual assistance and I thank you and your people greatly for aiding us in these dark times. This announcement startled the members of his team since he was not known for his skills of kindness and his diplomatic talent.

—Do you understand why these villains send only a few ships? Answer Barson in a concerned timbre.

Ambassador Nemorf ignores the admiral’s interrogation, which leaves an uneasy silence in the room. The commander is starting to think about what’s next.

Bryan shouts on a serious and clear tone:—the enemy will appear on screen in five minutes!

The staff sailed in a flood of emotions between hope, fear and anxiety. The question on everyone lips was: “Would the millennia-old history of humans end abruptly or continue after the confrontation?”

—Prepared to fire on these bastards! We forget the rules of war, you shoot all the fucking Archolyions that enters our territory! Claim Barson in a belligerent tone.

All the alarms started ringing all over the four corners of the base so loud that they could have woken a dead man. The concrete walls of the room tremble by the movement of the canons that position itself to bombard the space area.

—Remember that day, we lit, these sons of bitches! yelled the admiral.

—The enemy will be in range in 30 seconds, may God bless you! mention the lieutenant who is a very pious person.

Don’t waste our time with your faith remarks, make certain that everyone is firing. Said the admiral quickly, who wasn’t very religious.

A brief instant before the arrival of the invaders, the fleet of our allies, the Fliotilis leaves one after another the orbit of Mars.

The architect of Operation “Hope” screams at the emissary Nemorf.

—Can you explain to me what you’re doing?

—Unfortunately, the magnificence Melionia has just decided to change her plans. Moreover, our people will remain neutral in your conflict. I’m sorry, though, you understand that…

Barson struck the representative in the head with a violent blow to the noodle. The government chooses the admiral for his great results and not for his qualities as a diplomat. In his collapse, Nemorf’s skull hit the corner of the holographic table, releasing a cry of pain.

—Your lack of intelligence tends to be the reason for your decline, pitiful human! Exclaims the emissary Fliotilis.

—Keep this creature out of my sight! Their absence of loyalty lifts my heart more than their smell!

The gloves of wisdom and kindness fall as the security guards bring Nemorf firmly.

—I would personally make Barson pay for this affront! Screams the diplomat as he exits the decision-making room.

—I want a report on the matter! Bryan! The general, filled with anger and bitterness, exclaims.

The clash between Archolyions and the seventh Fleet of the Space Army in Operation Hope has only just begun. The Armada of the Fliotilis had mostly quit the area, leaving some spectators to witness this reversal of the situation. The batteries of canons on the ground could be heard firing with all their might towards the enemy spaceship. The walls resonate with the vibrations of the blows that the plasmid mortars did.
