The Discovery
“What was that?” asked Amy as she turned towards her friend, Laura. Laura looked back at Amy, very confused. Well they didn’t know it yet, but they were about to go on a journey to bring justice to their friend.
Laura replied with “Probably just another stupid cat”. Amy agreed, but she wasn’t so sure about it just being a cat. Maybe an animal but too loud for a cat. Amy realized that Laura looked like she was second guessing herself too.
“Come on” said Amy. Laura followed as they went to investigate the strange noise. They got outside and looked around but didn’t see anything suspicious, so they went back in. “Could’ve just been an animal” Amy said as she realized that Laura appeared nervous.
They both went inside and back upstairs to Amy’s apartment. Once they got inside they were quite tired so they plopped themselves down on the couch and turned on the TV. Within a few minutes, the girls were asleep.
“Riiing Riiing” The girls were startled awake by Amy’s phone. She looked at it and was a little surprised. It was the police station.
“That can’t be a coincidence” Amy said a little shook. Laura looked over, confused. Amy took the call and all her questions were answered. There had been a murder, on the roof of Amy’s apartment! She explained the call and all her thoughts to Laura who seemed shocked over it all. Sure Amy solves cases all the time but could this have been someone they knew? There had never been a murder this close before.
Amy went down to find police everywhere. The moment she arrived she went right to the body. It was near where she had heard the sound. Was this what she had heard? If so, she sure didn’t know it. She took a look at the body and felt odd. Like she had seen this before. She knew she had but couldn’t think of from where.
