Am now alone

As I looked at my mother she collapsed in the cold snow. My eyes widen, "Mom! wake up!" I screamed, wailing. She didn't answer me, not a sound came from her. As I look down I noticed the snow was red. Red, Red all around my mother's body. soon, someone put there hand on my shoulder I quickly looked up. To my horror, it was that thing! I got on my hands and knees and crawled on to the other side of my mother's body. " Please leave me be!" I yelled. It tilted its head. rolling my mother on her back. It leans down and used its nail lifting her eyelid. It used its other claw-like finger to slowly ripping out my poor mother's eye. " Stop it!" I begged, but the beast wouldn't listen to my pleads. I took a branch and tried smacking it with the branch, my skinny arms couldn't pick up the branch. So I ended up falling over, I heard a faint chuckle. Was that thing laughing at me? when I looked up at the thing that was currently eating my mother's eye's out. It was just looking at me, smirking. Fear, fear was building up in my heart faster. What was it going to do with me? It stood up ever so silently it walked over to me. Oh god, what was it going to do to me! I tried crawling away but it picked me up by my shirt throwing me over my shoulder. I kicked and thrash he still wouldn't let me go. I started to sob, for some reason, it pat's my back. What the hell? I noticed we were walking in the direction of town. As we got closer to town he became more human, this made me very confused and shocked me. What was this thing? When he walked me to town he took me to the police. He placed me on the steps sitting down. Their eyes started to do something strange as I looked into them I started to feel sleepy. Without even realizing it I fell asleep. as if I just reopened them to blink it was day and I was on a hospital bed. Everything was now a blur to me, as I look around I notice that there was a note on my bedside. I just glared at it on the front it said 'Sorry for your loss'. I felt something wet roll down my face, I thought mother would live. Also that smirk, something that was seared into my brain. I curled up in a ball as the doctor came to check on me. " Hey, little guy I see that you're awake now," he said cheerfully. The doctor appeared nice, I just didn't want to speak right now. The man sat down on a chair and looked at his clipboard with a good bit of paper. " Well kiddo I have some good news, once we do a few more test then you can leave. Do you have any- oh? " The doctor realized his mistake, " am so sorry" He looked at his paper, " Austin right?" I nodded my head and softly said, " yes sir..."
