In the Presence of Mine Enemies

Marine Major Gideon "Brick wall" Stiles observed the ongoing investigation from a safe & secure location.

Through his digital binoculars he confirmed he was seeing Ex-Gunnery Sergeant, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, in the flesh. Surveying the situation, he viewed and clicked a photo of every person wearing a jacket with an NCIS logo. Stiles could tell Gibbs was barking orders from the way his young Agents responded.

Stiles observed Gibbs approach one of his Agents from behind and smack him on the back of the head. The young man turned around as he rubbed the spot of Gibbs attack. Gibbs and the Agent appeared to engage in a heated conversation. He wished he could hear the exchange. Stiles smirked at how things seemed to be the same with his "old friend" Gibbs.

I see you are still a bastard, Jethro.

Stiles watched Gibbs thrust a camera at the young man. He took it and turned away from Gibbs his body language stiff and angry.

Well this one has a backbone if he stood up to Gibbs.

He watched the young man taking photos of the scene but froze when the young man turned and looked directly at his location. Stiles ducked instinctively although he knew he could not be seen. Looking up again he watched as Gibbs yelled at the young man. The young man yelled back at Gibbs, turned and began snapping photos. He could see Gibbs tense and stomp off. It appeared Gibbs did not like this young man.

Photo documentation completed, Stiles escaped the scene undetected. He was headed back to his office to continue his investigation. He needed to review & research each person he had photographed. After that task was completed he would step up his reconnaissance.

Earlier that Day

Tony Dinozzo arrived at his desk with just a minute to spare. He threw down his backpack, pulled off his sunglasses and powered up his computer.

"Once more by the skin of your teeth, Dinozzo." Gibbs stated as Tony heard muffled laughter from Kate & McGee. Tony shot them a smile that did not reach his eyes "Good Monday morning to all of you!" he said sarcastically.

Silence

He placed his gun & badge in his desk drawer and locked it. God, he needed coffee but didn't dare move as he felt Gibb's eyes practically burning a hole in him. "So this is how the week is going to start" thought Tony "Fucking great".
