A new beginning ~ Ivy
Tha- thump, tha- thump, tha- thump. My heart's pounding in my chest drowning out all other noises as I force air into my lungs, chest heaving and legs aching. Finally calming down to focus, breaking twigs, branches, and sounds of voices hit my ears as guards crash through the woods after me. Searching for a place to hide I see nothing suitable, I can't let them have it! Finally spotting some rocks about a hundred feet away I gather my couage, forcing the cold morning air to fill my lungs, I bolt in the opposite direction the voices came from, forcing my shaking legs to carry me towards the rocks I spotted, knowing if I make it I can hide there...
Wait, I'm sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself here. Let me start from the beginning.
Hey, I'm Ivy Nightshade!
I just moved from Houston Texas, to Hell- well Norway. The average temperatures of around 50°F with 86% humidity, or for those who don't speak geek it's KINDA cold.
With a population of 1,558 it's not the biggest town, in fact there really isn't much to do here. The only reason my mom dragged me halfway around the world was because my great uncle passed away, and he left us a house on some land that's already paid off.
Well... there might have also been an incident, back in Houston involving a bottle of Scotch, a lighter, and Jimmy Sagerston's car. In my defense he had it coming to him, but that's a story for another day.
After all that, I'm stuck here in Hell, with my mother, and friends? Let's just say I don't have any in this town.

"Ivy!" My mother calls, "Come get your boxes out of the living room!" She sighed and mutters to herself, "I just hope she forgives me and understands that I just want what's best for her."
"I'm coming!" I bellow, Stomping down the stairs to retrieve the last of my boxes, all of which were still packed in protest of moving to this 'God forsaken place'. "I don't understand why you dragged me all the way to this old farm house in the middle of nowhere in some foreign country, just because I was too passionate about protecting my friend!" I fume.
"That's because if we stayed, the Sagerston's threatened to press charges. Even if your story was true, you would still be charged as an arsonist. The only place we could go that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg is here, so I'd appreciate a little more respect." She reprimanded.
"This is so unfair!" I yell, stomping upstairs to my room, seething in anger, and slamming the door as I enter. When we first arrived at this house I knew instantly that I would have to redecorate. I was already disgusted with the color and decorations, we hadn't even made it inside yet! I thought to myself, hopefully it's better on the inside.
It's a quaint two story farm style house. It has three rooms, the master bedroom on the first floor, and two on the second. It also has two bathrooms, one on each floor, a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, and living room. There's even a room for all of my Martial arts equipment! I'm a 8th degree black belt in four different types of Martial arts. However because of the steel reds and blacks, it seemed like the person who owned it before us didn't know there were other colors you could add in a farm house.
"Uhg! Why does she always think she knows what's best for me?!?" Rolling my eyes I muse. "Maybe I need some fresh air...Hey Mom, i'm going to explore the town!"
"Ok sweetie, be careful!" She calls, "Be back by 7:30 to wash up for dinner!"
"I'll try!" I answer throwing on my coat and boots, then running out the door towards whatever adventure awaits me in this foreign place.

good so far keep it up
