I sigh as I look upon the many stacks of paper on my desk. So many pack treaties and requests that I do not want to deal with this early in the morning. I look at the paper I’m holding and suddenly freeze in anger.

“Meelo! Get your butt in here.” I shout through the pack link as everyone else tries to ignore the amused Beta that has me irritated.

He walks through the door with a grin on his face as he knows I’ve found his little ‘surprise’.

“Yes Alpha?” He asks with an innocent look on his face as I snarl in annoyance.

“What’d I say about sneaking papers into my files! Seriously, a female who can’t keep her legs closed wants to join your pack, and the answer is already signed and everything!” She groans out at him and he shrugs.

“What I’m just being honest, and besides you don’t need someone like that in your territory.” He states simply as he sits down on the desk.

“Why?” She asks curiously as he had been doing this to the past forty girls who had tried to join the pack.

“Because they spread diseases.” He says with a laugh as he watches his Alpha roll her eyes.

“You do know that most of these woman find their mates early only to reject them because they are so embarrassed of their past, but I do have to say you have a point.” She says and her Beta laughs at her response.

“Well those ‘woman’ choose to do it, and it gives them no right to be rude or to sleep around.” He says in a girly voice as he looks at his nails with great interest.

“I can never argue with you Meelo.” She says as she goes back to signing papers and he hops off her desk with a chuckle.

“Because I’m always right.” He says in a sing songy voice as he sashays out her office door. She shakes her head with a small chuckle at her Beta’s actions.

“How he’s my Beta, I shall not know.” She mumbles to herself as she signs off the paper as declined to the ‘female who can’t keep her legs closed’.

I watch as my warriors fight each other with tired faces. I growl out as I walk into the fighting circle with an irritated face.

“If you don’t start to pick up the pace, you’ll both be fighting me!” I snarl in their faces as I watch them go wide eyed and then fight each other harder. I step out of the ring to be met with my back colliding with a chest. I spin around in surprise and my eyes widen at the sight of the familiar face.

“Dito, what are you doing here?” I question as I hug the man before me.

“Thought I’d surprise you.” He says in his deep voice and she rolls her eyes.

“Your supposed to be miles away with your mate, by the way where is he?” She asks curiously and he rolls his eyes at the mention of his mate.

“Off flirting with a helpless girl, he says it’s fun to flirt with them and when they ask for his number tell them he’s gay.” He says as he and her start to walk away from the combat pit where her warriors were training their buts off.

“Well Paz was always the mischief kind.” She says with a chuckle as she remembers the last time Dito’s mate was here. It was a really bloody thanksgiving.

“How long are you here for?” She asks her old friend who chuckles at her.

“Actually Paz and I have decided to stay, overseas is starting to get boring, and I need my best friend with me to help with my boy trouble.” He says in a girly voice and she laughs.

“Well your always welcome here, I can never say no to my best friend, and that reminds me, could you possibly train my pack while I go to the council tomorrow?” She asks sheepishly and Dito shakes his head in amusement.

“Of course you’d ask that now after buttering me up, of course I will, it’s what friends are for. What do the council need to see you for, you haven’t got into trouble again have you?” He asks teasingly and she punches his arm.

“No, I have to go and meet the new council, because I am the end vote they want me to see if the new council is eligible or not.” She explains and Dito looks to her with an arched eyebrow.

“Your part of the council?” He asks and she covers his mouth as pack members walk by. She smiles at them and then puts her hands down.

“No! Never in this whole world will I ever be part of the council.” She says with a shudder as she remembers walking in one them drinking rouge blood. Dito laughs and looks to her with an confused look.

“Then why?” He asks and she sighs.

“Because of who I am and what I can do, they want to have my approval on everything now, I told you I should have just kept this a secret.” She says as she explains to him the reason and he chuckles.

“Babes, if you hadn’t tripped and fell on that balcony, and almost hit the ground because your fight or flight kicked in then you would have been dead. Your instincts kicked in and saved you from falling to your death.” He says with a grin.

“Yeah, but it didn’t have to show everyone in the whole room! The whole council and high ranking’s were there! And I was just an Omega.” She reminds him and he laughs.

“Oh the innocent omega act, now your an alpha, and the only Alpha female.” He says and she laughs.

“And you best not forget it.” She says as they stop at the small house that was meant for Dito.

“Be proud of where you came from, you were just an Omega with cleaning duties and then you fell off a balcony where you could have died, but your magic stopped it. Your a mage, and you better own it! My best friend isn’t a coward, and I won’t let you be. So show everybody what you’ve got and do it till the day you die, because baby your one of a kind.” he says as he sashays away into the house. She shakes her head with a chuckle as she makes the trip back to the pack house.
