The flaws of Beauty
Lutenzu lemunga Lizu was a beautiful young lady from munga village located in Northern province zambia. She was born in the late 80s.
Lutenzu lived with her father and step mother ,along with some other siblings. She was the eldest of all the children. She had 5 step siblings and 7 blood siblings which made a total of 13 children.
Apart from that, Lutenzu had a lot of freinds and was famously known around her village for her extraordinary beauty. Most people called her mungeli which is bemba for angel. Others say she was a goddess. She possessed beauty that non of her mates could. She was therefore considered to be a precious gem to her village .
Lutenzu was happy that everyone loved her. But she did not like the fact that each time when she asked people why they loved and adored her it was always about her beauty. She wanted someone to love her for who she actually was and not her beauty.
Suiters had eventually started aproaching the family to Lutenzu. They came from different sorts of villages and countries to seek her hand in marriage . Unfortunately, everytime a suiter came, Lutenzu would always reject. Eventually her parents got fade up of her rejection to suitors and therefore had arranged a marriage against her will with the prince of Kunga village in the western province of Zambia.
Lutenzu was upset with her parents and could not bare the thought of marrying a stranger whom she does not love. She on that day regretted the beauty she possessed. Because she knew the man was not marrying her because of love but the beauty she had.
So during one fateful night, Lutenzu sneaked out of the house and went to a renowned native doctor of her village. She went and made a deal with the doctor. She told the doctor that she despised the beauty she possessed and that she wanted it to go away. She told the native doctor that she wanted a chance to find true love without her physical beauty getting in the way. And so, the native doctor took away her beauty and kept it in a bottle, which could only be opened by the man who loves her .The native doctor explained to her that she could only come get her beauty back with the man who loves her for who she is.
Lutenzu went from being the most beautiful woman to the most ugly woman in her village. No one would recognize her as Lutenzu. Therefore she changed her name to Muta. She disguised herself as a new comer to the village. She vowed to never go back home without her true love.
A few hours later it was morning and Muta was hungry. She had some money on her so she decided to go to the local market and buy some food . When she arrived there, people begun to stear at her with disturbing faces and calling her all sorts of mean names. For the first time ever she was called ugly by her village members.
Muta was not upset . But still did not want that to ever happen again. So she decided to go and live in the forest alone in peace.
She had begun to explore the forest and had even built her little place there . Although she was alone she was still happy.
Days past. One day Muta decided to go fetch some fire wood . She went deep into the forest looking for the perfect type of wood. Suddenly, she heard someone screaming ''help! help! '' She immediately followed the sound of that voice and found a young man lying on the ground with a bad wound on his chest. She immediately assumed that the man was attacked by a wild animal.So she helped the man and walked with him back to her little hut
She dressed his wound and made him all sorts of herbs that she was tought by her mother. During that time the man was unconcious.
The man lay unconcious for days , While Muta took care of him. Finally he woke up . Muta was happy and she immediately brought food for him and he ate.
Then man asked for her name and she answered ''my name is Muta.'' And the man said ''nice name, my name is Luyando .'' They became good freinds from that day.
Eventually the man fell in love with Muta because she was the best woman he had ever met. She was a mother when he needed one ,a sister and a freind to him . He knew that she was Godly sent and did not care about how she looked. Muta was amazed by him .
Muta said to herself ''finally ! finally !. I have found a man who loves me for who i am . '' She said these words bursting in tears.
She told Luyando to escort her somewhere. But luyando wondered were. They both reached the native doctors shrine . Without explaining to him. Muta got the bottle from the native doctor and told him to open it. He managed to open the bottle and she immediately knew he was the one. Her beauty was returned to her . Luyando was stunned. She told him the truth about her name and everything she did.
Luyando had also been keeping away somethings from her. He was actually the prince who had been engaged to marry her . In the end it was a win win situation. Lutenzu and luyando lived in peace and in harmony. They had very beautiful and handsome children together.
