Prologue

One morning, Alex went for a good long swim practice by herself. Her BFF Ally, was the one who always filmed her when she swam. But today she had to do lots of homework. So Alex decided to go to a shallow pool to warm up. The longest she held her breath was over 3 hours. That was with her nose pinched shut, and her mouth calmed shut by a hand on her head, and one underneath her jaw. And honestly, she always had fun.

Swimming was her life. It was her everything. She didn’t want a boyfriend because she didn’t want to break his heart, or even with death. She was really just scared, and she didn’t like to be.

But one day she just stayed underwater for 2 minutes, and her lungs gave in. They had been stretched, and stretched. Being underwater was her specialty. But her lungs froze inside her, and the air was let out. She abruptly stated swimming toward the surface and bam. She floated above the water, eyes wide open. And she was gone. Her body lifeless.
