Chapter 1 - First Day

The sun rose up past the horizon, emitting rays of sunlight through the open window.

Alex groaned as he rolled over, barely leaving the realm of sleep, only to scream in frustration as he realised that his eyes have yet to adjust to the bright sunlight. He wacked his hand across his ear splitting alarm clock, silencing it for now.

"Get down here before you are late for school. NOW!" his mother shrieked.

A mumbled reply was barely audible from behind 2 closed doors.

"Alright, I'm coming!" He replied.

Alex rolled off his bed and onto his floor, right into a empty Tangfastic Haribo packet. Another scream, this time of annoyance. He quickly picked himself off the floor and selected a outfit for today. His choice was a full set of Mountain Warehouse. He rushed down the stairs and almost slammed into his sister who was on her phone.

"Watch where your going, idiot! You almost made my photo wonky!" She said.

"Morning to you as well sister, how are you, good day, none of that??" Alex mumbled as he carried on at a slower pace.

After a stressful hour of speed driving, Alex arrived at the front of his school, just as the warning bell went. Students filtered into the school through the main door, chatting together. Alex rushed to reception as a chubby, old receptionist stood up to greet him, making the colourful shapes and patterns on her dress flutter.

"And you must be Alex! How are you today? We have all been waiting for you for a long time now, welcome to Pinewood Campus! Hers your time table and off you go before your late! Cherrio!" She squealed

Her voice was surprisingly high pitched and she spoke with exaggeration on every sentence.

"Thank you very much" Alex replied as he took his time table and walked to his first lesson, PE.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

The Mate he couldn't have

Vampire: Great story. Clear plot line and very interesting. Characters are lovely and well made. Amazing writing skills and grammar. Only thing that was a little bit too much is the repetition but I guess it's a writing style? Anyways I love it definitely recommend it!

Bound to the Bear

BlackKat07: Loved the characters and plot. Unfortunately after about chapter 10 the book really needs a good proof-read - lots of spelling and grammatical errors that spoiled it for me. Up till then I was happy to correct the occasional one, but after that I just lost interest when there were up to three in a...
