Chapter 1
I was running and I couldn't stop running the Alpha was right on my ass, I couldn't slow down I grasped my gun and fired a shot behind me.
The moon was full half of the pack was shot dead and wounded, my hair whipped around my face the winds getting harsher the further I went uphill.
The Alpha's growl echoed through the forest bouncing off the trees pushing me to run faster and faster until I came to a cliff, I now had a choice wait and let the wolves kill me or jump either way I die, the water here is so cold, it's practically frozen over.
My whole body froze when I heard a twig snap, I dare not look back
"The hunter has become the hunted." His voice was like gravel I turned my head slightly to see his neck healing, I had been caught I couldn't believe I got caught! What was gonna happen to me now?
That's when he walked forward a pair of jeans hung on his hips, his abs shining in the moonlight his raven hair covering his face and his striking crystal blue eyes bored into mine, he features softened my fear began to take hold here he stood in front of me the world's scariest Alpha yet I couldn't kill him, he looked just as broken as I felt.
I couldn't believe what I was thinking I stepped towards him and hugged him, shocked at first at my gentle touch he wrapped his arms around me and held onto me tight
"I can't kill my mate...Hunter or not I can't kill you."
"I understand Kade."
"You know my name, Kitten?"
"Your reputation is a legend among hunters."
He nodded and led me back to his pack I couldn't believe it just a few days ago I was meant to kill him, but I couldn't for when I looked into his eyes I saw half of me that had been missing I couldn't take that.
Flashback
My "uncle" and I were walking through the cold cells where we kept werewolves chained up only one meal a day and our weapons coated with extra wolfsbane to keep them weak at their knees even the world's most powerful Alpha Kade Wilson was here under our hold captured by hunters
"Are you ready Freya?"
I nodded "I'm ready to face the beast."
He opened Alpha Kade's cell door he was weakly chained to the wall his eyes tired, his body worse for wear having cuts and bruises all over his six-pack abs, I grabbed a long sword hanging on the wall
Slowly but cautiously approaching him I felt my knees get weak as his piercing blue eyes locked onto my chocolate brown I felt a spark zing between us
"Freya! Head in the game!" Yelled my uncle
I nodded quickly slashing Kade's chest with the sword he howled in pain but this was one that no one heard it had set all the wolves off, every last wolf howling in pain all the humans covered their ears I dropped my sword and fell to his level, I saw his left hand was out of the shackle I couldn't believe my eyes he was able to escape! How?! No wolf could break those chains unless he had an inside helper!
I quickly got to my feet and screamed as loud as I could to warn my "uncle" but he was already out cold, the wolves had somehow broken free! What was going on?! I looked up to the glass sky gasping when I saw it a fucking full moon! SHIT!
I grabbed a wolfsbane grenade and sword and ran as fast as I could
"You won't get far Kitten!" Alpha Kade yelled after me
The wolves all tried to grab at me but I released the grenade and let the purple smoke fill the room and ran out of the compound as fast as I could my heart beating faster and faster with each breathe I took.
My feet began to feel heavy as I kept running I stopped against a tree near a cliff that's when I heard it the sound of a thousand paws hitting the earth, growling snarling howling I quickly took off into the woods getting nearer the cliff that's when I stupidly looked back Kade was on my ass! FUCK!
I couldn't outrun a full-grown werewolf! Let alone an Alpha! On full fuckingg moon! I was dead for sure so I took a sharp turn going to the cliff's edge.
Flashback End
We were walking slowly his pack looking on in shock, a medium sized wolf came running at me Kade snapped his fingers
"That is no way to treat your future Luna now Beta Seth."
Seth quickly stepped back and bowed his head
ME?! A luna! I'm not even a werewolf! And I certainly refuse to join his pack! I have my own home...sort of.
"You ready to go home Kitten?"
"Home?! With you?!" I laugh out
He looked dead serious his eyes looking right through me, I gulped and sighed
"Fine. One night only then I go back deal?"
This time he laughed along with the other wolves
"What's so amusing?" I quipped
"You really think those hunters are gonna take you back in after you ran Kitten, they think you helped us escape, they won't want you so either stay with us and live or go back and die, your choice."
I held my head down knowing he had a point, I couldn't go back even if I wanted too, I couldn't go back now I'd be killed
He stood above me and lifted my head up
"So what's it to be Luna?"
I let myself melt into his touch I couldn't believe what I was about to say
"Okay I'll go with you."
