Chapter One

"Just one little sip." The girls laughed.

I shook my head and scrunched my nose up at the bottle.

"No way!" I cried. The closest I ever gotten to alcohol was a sip of champagne at my cousin’s wedding a few years back and I barf at the thought of alcohol.

"It won't hurt you!" They giggle. She swayed spilling a little of the booze. They already had four or five of the cups.

"If this is how I'll end up acting then absolutely not." I snapped, they were acting like wild animals, one was already slobbering over a random guy who passed her, the poor guy. I glance at him and I cringed he was grabbing her hair with one hand and another was squeezing her ass. It’s barbaric how people act with just a red solo cup of booze. It’s illegal because people abuse the toxic, addictive, taste of it and take it way too far. So much, poison, death and rape, it’s disgusting.

"God, you're such a goodie two shoes, Beth. Why did we invite her anyway?" Snared Bridget the "life of the party" more like "whore of the party".

But it was my last party until I go to college. I made the mistake of wanting to know what at least one high school party was like, and I regret even coming. I turn and see Bridget smirking at me, she had something up her sleeve, she barely turns her head to her friend and whispers something in her ear, her eyes sliding back to me, I see her friend’s eyes get huge and then narrows into a sly grin.

No way.

"Fine!" They turned to look at me. "Just give me the cup." I jerked it out of Bridget's hand, she smirked at me and put her hands on her hips.

I took a sip and tried to hand it back. It smelt awful but they wouldn't have it.

"That wasn't enough, Beth. More than that!"

So I tried it again as I brought it to my mouth Bridget tipped it higher pouring it into my mouth and my shirt. I swallowed hard and held down the vomit that was starting to come up.

I had zero tolerance for alcohol, I wasn’t like these others who drink five or six before they feel something, I had a burn pit in my stomach as it hit and I wanted to barge it out of my system.

I started to feel dizzy, "now that wasn't so bad was it?" Bridget slurred. I shook my head as she gave me another cup and brought it to my lips I guzzled that on down too.

What was I doing? I didn’t want to be like them, I never wanted to please them, I felt no need to, so why was I drinking with them like we’ve become friends? I didn’t need this, when I woke up in the morning.

A few drinks later;

Before I know it was drunk. Something I swore I'd never do but I was so drunk that I didn't care anymore. I couldn’t think straight much less think like myself.

I stumbled up to my boyfriend, Chandler, my sweet Chandler, I fell into his arms, smiling so lazily up at his soulful eyes. I got lucky with this one. "Whoa, there, Beth, are you drunk?"

I nodded my head and said, "nope. I'm completely sober," with a serious frown but it felt funny so I laugh until I had a thought, I gasp and grin at him, I needed to release this energy.

I pulled him down to me and whispered in his in, "lets go somewhere quiet."

He jerks his head back. "God, Bethany, you wreak of booze! How many cups did you have?!"

"Two." I say, holding up four fingers. I could feel vomit start to come up and I stumbled into the bathroom with Chandler behind me. I fall onto the toilet and vomited my brains out. He grabs my hair and pulls it out of my face.

He's such a good boyfriend, I thought and when I wasn't vomiting, I stared at his face. It was a beautiful face. Short brown hair, dreamy hazel eyes and he had some signs of beard around his chin.

"Hey." I whisper, at least I thought I did.

"What?" He asked as he held out a stick of gum for me, I smiled thankfully and popped it into my mouth and began to slur.

"Let's go to Bridget's room. It's quiet there. We can talk." I did quotations in the air with my fingers.

"Okay." He helps me to Bridget's room as we go in I lock the door.

I turn him around to face me and smash my lips onto his.

"Wait, Beth--" he tries but gives up and wraps his arms around me.

I break the kiss and push him onto the bed.

"Bethany, are you sure?" He asks, his eyes began to darken with lust.

"More than ever!" When I say that he pulls me close and we start to kiss more urgently pulling each others clothes off in the middle of kissing.

After that everything became dark and fuzzy and I black out.
