Remember That Girl?
Remember that girl,
The one you called fat?
Well she’s starving herself,
And is quite near death.
Remember that girl,
The one you called a nerd?
Well she’s studying her hardest,
Because of all the pressure.
Remember that girl,
The one crying in the corridor?
Well her parents are dead,
And her brother just got cancer.
Remember that girl,
The one who’s called a slut or a whore?
Well she just became a stripper,
To help make money to save her unborn sister.
Remember that girl,
The one which has a scar on her face?
Well she saved your life once,
When you were attempting fate.
Remember that girl,
With the long blonde hair?
Eyes with the color of Emerald,
And the laughter of an angel.
Because clearly, I know,
You must remember,
And if my conscience is right,
You might even be thinking about her!
But do you know?
Sweet little child,
That she is currently held hostage,
By her own godfather!
Because behind every smile,
Every giggle of a woman,
A story is to be told,
A story she keeps hidden.
