"Did you have that dream again?" asked Skylar's mother. "Of corse, there's not a day since preschool that I havent had the dream, same as always; i'm flying, the breeze in my hair, while i'm practicly yeilding the power of the wind and then i land and climb out of my plane and the presendent comes to me and says i'm the greatest fighter pilot anyones ever seen, then i wake up! Skylar said with dreamy eyes as she shoved cerial into her mouth. Skylar was 17, she was a student at East Crest High a privite school for rich preppy kids, but Skylar was the opposite of rich and preppy the only reason she went to that school was beacause she got a scholership. Her parents thought that it was a blessing Skylar got to go to East Crest but Skylar thought of it as the worst thing ever. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if she didn't already want to go to Civil Air High an amazing school for Air Force cadets. If you looked at Skylar's bucket list, join the Air Force would be at the top. She had wanted to join the Aif Force since she was 3. Her father and grandfather served but neither of them came back alive. Normaly this would've scared someone or made them resent the branches of military but not Skylar beacause she was anything but normal. She was the most determind person in the world, probably the universe and if she wanted to do something there was nothing that could stop her from doing it... or was there.
