The Introduction
“He had a stroke last night and is no more” read the message as the mourning father pressed send with teary eyes.
Arnav had been hardly crossed 16. A high school student, he was known throughout his batch for being ‘the obedient mischief-maker’. With a bustling air of joy always surrounding him, he was usually found among friends.
He had returned from school that day in full swing and had not an expression of worry on his face. Cheerful as ever, he had gone to the study in the evening to brush up before his exams were to commence- the following week.
In the morning, Arnav was found face down on his table, cold to touch but warm at heart as ever. No one knew what happened but his friends speculated the loss of a dear friend had shook him to the core. There was an unread message on his Instagram which went “I’m sorry. I feel like a jerk. I hope you’ll find someone good enough for you”. Little did the sender know that in sleep, he had already forgiven her.
