Chapter One: The Incident
Opal
I never knew my parents, but I was sure that they'd be proud of me now... if they even cared about me. My parents left me, I was abandoned, they were rogues. That's what my pack said.
It was a sunny day, I was bathing in the sunlight sitting next to my mate outside of the mansion. Our mating ceremony had just finished, he's the love of my life. Khan is a well built, brown haired sweetheart.
"Opal-" Khan starts, but he's interrupted by a scream and a gunshot.
"What was that?" But before I get my answer, Khan is up and sprinting towards the noise. I get up and run after, a pain pierces through my body, I yelp as I run my hand over my shoulder, a dart? Everything goes fuzzy and I faint, Khans worried face looking at me.
"Opal, No.. Opal please.." You hear words, but everything is a blur.
