Chapter 1
Finding a job isn’t easy as I had thought. Seeing man looking a you with lust eye raping you. That’s what I face every day and I am not able to do anything.
I sighed and walked out of the bar.
My name is Radha. I had come here to seek job as I was kicked out of my uncles house after I turned 18 as after my parents death court had ordered my uncle to be my guardian till I was 18 which is considered maturity age in India thought now we stayed in Belgium but there was an eye on my uncle as per order he kept me with him till I turned 18 that was 3 days ago. They send me to school coz of court pressure and I’m just 12 Th pass so finding a job is most difficult thing.
I walked in the restaurant to find myself job frankly any job will do as I need to feed myself.
Lucky day I think as I got the job of waitress here I asked them for maximum hours of job I can have as I need money. The owner was a kind man and asked me if I can do night sift which was from 4pm till 11pm for 15 euro for hour I agreed coz I need money. They asked me to join the same day. I was provided with dress and apron was the uniform. Ok I look good.
I had still 4 hours for my shift to start so now the thing was to get a place to stay. I asked owner if he knew any place where I can stay. He said there is an apartment down the street he saw was to be rented I thanked him and went from there.
The house I went to see had 2 bedroom and small living room with common bathroom and attached washroom a small kitchen and a balcony attached to living room. The rent was 500 euro. Ok that was much I tried to bargain but nothing worked. Owner said he doesn’t mind if I share apartment with anyone so I could even share rent now how will I find a roommate?
I quickly read documents and signed them. I assured the owner that I would pay the deposit once I get money of my first shift. I realized the I would need another job too as I need to save for studies I have few months before I start my university so I need to do another job too so I can get more money.
I went out of the house after I locked it. Walk down the street I saw a store that had a banner out that they stock checkers. Let’s give a try. I walked into store and asked the guy on desk about details from which I got to know its 2hours daily job I need to do and will be given 10 euro daily ok not bad I agreed and they asked me to join tomorrow thankfully both had different time as this I had to do in morning.
I went to restaurant to start my day at my job. I hope I don’t do mistake.
As I reached 20 min early the head waitress told me that I need to look after table from 11-15 which where downstairs it-self. There were total of 25 tables and each had to handle 5.
I learned everything properly and went to change in staff washroom. It was 4 when I entered myself in register to check in my time and waited for customer. An hour passed but I had no customer. It was strict to stick to your table until asked otherwise.
Around 5 I saw a customer sat at my table. I went with water and menu card for the man. As my eye fell on him my breath hitched.
As I placed the menu he looked at me weirdly and frowned. “How may I help you sir?” his frown deepen
“Are you new here?” wasn’t he supposed to answer me anyway I nodded in agreement.
He nodded his head thinking something
I saw him look at me when I saw his deep black eyes which were so damn beautiful. I came out of my world when he placed his order.
“This is the table I usually sir when I visit and I always order an earl grey tea with lemon and honey. That would be good for now” I noted and went away to kitchen to place order.
I got the man his order and stood near other waitress who were free.
“Btw u are new right?” asked one
“Yeah “I replied
“My name is mukti” she said
“Mine is Kate” said other
“Mine is radha”
“Indian?” questioned mukti isn't my name clear to state that?
I nodded
“Kate u have customer” said one of waitress and Kate moved
“So how is he?” asked mukti I frowned “who?”
“That guy on table 13”
“I would I know!”
“Don’t you find him sinfully handsome he is regular customer here and sits on same able also order earl grey tea with or with biscuit chocolate cake or a hot chocolate most of the waitress here are flat on him”
“I don’t know”
“What?”
“I don’t know what would I define him handsome or dead drop sexy”
She giggled so did I!
" Do you know his name?" I questioned
"I heard the waitress earlier handling your table say his name was kartik Chopra and Indian business man"
"Kartik Chopra" I repeated
