Prologue
The Amaluna hovered just outside the atmosphere of Neptune. It was a big, beautiful ship.
She had ten decks, a length of 250 meters, a crew of approximately 136 people, and weighing in at 500,000 metric tons.
The Amaluna boasted some of the most advanced, new equipment in the Alessia Fleet and was capable of reaching a sustainable cruise velocity of Warp speed of 8.745. She was further equipped with bio-tortulium that contained small canisters with bio-tortulium jell cells, that it's primary function was to organize information for more efficiency and allowing it to speed up response time.
It was captained by Jaina Blackwood.
She was considered a beautiful woman by most who have met her. Some would even call her the "Ice Queen" from the fact that at times, she could have a cold demeanor.
Her honey wheat hair and aquamarine eyes, however, gave her an angelic look. Yet, once she opened her mouth, you would know that was far from the truth.
The 5'5" woman has been captain for over five years. Promoted when Captain De Neptuna was killed in battle.
She ran her ship with rules and regulations, yet the crew had no harsh words to say about her. Claiming that the captain was a tough woman. But once you got to know her, she's had a heart of gold.
She wanted her crew to feel like they were a family. To know that they had one another's trust. Had one another's back.
She was a highly loved captain.
One of the first youngest captains to maintain a federation ship.
Jaina glances at the Holo screen, as an image of Neptune shows up. It was a beautiful planet. Inhabited by 720 million people.
A small smile forms on her lips as she leans back in the captains seat and let's a heavy sigh out.
Neptune was the last of the four major planets to join the Alessian Federation. 153 years ago...
Called the "Planet of Chills", for the icy chill that covered the land. Yet Neptune also hosted some other extreme and violent weather phenomenon. Knowing the planet, however, you would soon know that it was a water Planet. Water swirled under the thick cover of ice.
It hosted "The Great Dark Spot" which was accompanied by white high altitude clouds.
It's winds would pick up being 1,305 mph.
Neptune's atmosphere is made up predominately of hydrogen and helium, with some methane. The methane is part of what gave Neptune its brilliant blue tint.
Today they were taking on new crew members and passengers. Jaina was anxious to be done already. Being stationed outside the planet for a good three hours. It was starting to be a drag... She glances down at the manifest.

Jaina was amazed by the new crew she would take on. She's met Dr. Fay once at a convention. He was a rather quiet man. Shy. However, an excellent doctor. Well knowledged in many old and new medical techniques. She hoped, however, being on her ship. He would break out from his quiet, awkward shyness. In the medical field, one couldn't afford to be shy.
She didn't like the fact that she would be taking on a smuggler... ex smuggler he would call himself. Reconditioning? Would that even help? She knew she would have to keep her sights on that one. He was known to stealing shuttles.
Having a linguist probably would be a good thing. Jaina, herself, knew a few alien languages. She's been meaning to learn more. She just never found the time. She knew Narina was the daughter of Seraphina Clements. Prime Minister of Neptune. She would follow in her mothers shoes, stepping up to be the next one.
Jaina leaned back more in her seat. There was another four hours before the crew would be boarding. She lets her eyes drift close.
