Tachi

Had you ever wondered, why the sun rose punctually, why the earth spun stably, and why can you stay alive? Well, many answers were given out, both with many evidences. However, the mysterious thing keeping the world order was something called “Force”. Two of the forces existed – “Devil Force” existed naturally by killing while those who have epic Devil Force was called “demon”, and “Talented Force” later be given to the chosen one by god, as know as “messenger”.

Being discovered that it can be used for battle by Alexander the Great, he conquered lots of territories by a tiny nation called Macedonia. The first demon was called Bai Qi in China, who killed four hundred thousands of prisoners of war during Qin’s conquest.

The balance of the power was created in AD 1, which made a separation of BC and AD. The Roman Empire then discovered the force in BC 32, after conquering Greece. The Roman Empire tried to defeat the Han Empire and became a superpower but in AD 1, the first “messager”, as known as Jesus, was born. He said that by conquering the Han Empire will make the Force unbalanced. The Romans didn’t believe in him. He then dealt with many Roman who could control Force. To defeat them, he was given the ability of “Talented Force”, which made him powerful. He successfully finished his objective eventually.

However, the balance had been broken for several times. Huns invasion was the first crisis. From Siberia, they tried to conquer the world. The Eastern World, led by China, built a Great Wall to defend successfully, while the Western World was raid. Roman Empire fell and the East led for thousand years. However, the Eastern World lost the second invasion, by Mongols. A hero, without any Devil Force or Talented Force, simply picked up a dagger and killed the Mongol Khan, forcing the Mongols to retreat. The West then led for years since the Eastern World was raid this time.

After Rossiya, armed with elite forces conquered Siberia, everyone thought that the crisis had ended, until 2019...

A balloon with liquid was thrown to Akio. The balloon exploded and the liquids sprayed onto Akio. Akio was shocked, and he smelt his wet suit.

“Haha dude! Love the smelling? It’s fresh hydrogen oxide with some sodium chloride and waste!” David walked out and laughed, “I wished to aim your trousers, but you’re too short! I think all people in Yamato is short like you!”

“Dude you’re eighteen years old already! Three more months to graduate! Don’t be so naive!” Akio closed his locker after taking out his bag, and took off his suit. He wished to leave as soon as possible to avoid conflict, since he thought that they won’t see each others again after three months. However, a beautiful voice stopped him.

“Akio, what’s up here?” May walked out, smiling at him. Although May wasn’t extremely beautiful, she was already the best in the entire form. In Akio’s eyes, she was goddess since he loved her very much.

“Not much,” Akio replied, and took out a plastic bag. He carefully took out a phone, “I’ve earned enough money to buy this LG G5 for you...” He said, and gave the phone to May.

May grabbed it, and suddenly, she threw the phone to the ground. She said, “Stupid, who would like to be with you? I’ve done playing with you for these months. You think you’re important in my life? No. You’re just my dog!” May laughed, and threw herself into David’s hug, “See, my man, David! Look at this coward, ignoring all challenges but still brings a Tachi everywhere!”

David laughed too, “Not expected? When you first fell in love with May, you should expect this ending! You poor kid, why not sell your Tachi to the canteen for then to chop the meat... Or can it? It seems worthless like you!”

“Don’t insult my Tachi! My father gave that to me before his death, so the Tachi represents my father!” Akio almost roared it out. More and more people approached them, soon surrounded them.

David looked around, found his friends in the crowd, he started saying, “So what now? If you dare, kill me with your Tachi!”

David’s friends nearby seeing this as a signal, shouted “kill him” loudly and soon, more people joined them shouting. Akio held the bottom of the Tachi, which was exposed from his bag, and attempted to pull that out.

The shiny sword body shined under the lights. Akio tried waving his sword, but suddenly, he remembered what his father told him – never use the sword before 18 years old. “Damn it, one more day!” He wondered, and put the sword back, trying to leave.

However, David ran to him and said, “If you wanted to leave, then climb through my legs like a dog!” Akio was surprised that David would shame him like this in public. “You’ll pay, soon,” He said, and slowly lay down.

Suddenly, a soft object pulled him up. He saw Katrina, a loli who was the monitor and helped him a lot. She pulled him out of the crowd. Akio looked back. He saw May smiled – her smiling was still pretty, but it was no longer attractive. If it was a day before, he would like to do anything for May just for a smile.

“Let’s go have some drink, I’ll pay,” said Katrina. Akio looked at her cute face, and thought of how she helped him usually. He felt hot suddenly, shaking his head, he rejected and went home. Katrina shrugged and went to the bar herself.

Akio took out his Tachi, carefully cleaned it and placed it back to his bag. “It would be a definitely new age for me tomorrow,” he thought, “Finally, all limitation are cancelled!”

“I’ll pay?” David, in the high school after Akio left with Katrina, ordered, “James and Matthew, prepare your weapon. He’ll know who will pay tomorrow!”
