#1 •Man Sees Woman In Ballroom.
It was hard not to notice her.
Everyone noticed her.
Standing in the middle of the ballroom.
Midnight black hair, falling down in waves that caressed the white-sand beach that was her skin.
Her body, shapely and covered by a velvet dress that draped her tantalizingly.
Little slip of leg there, alluring.
I wanted to see more.
Touch.
She turned, hair swaying perfectly.
Almost robotic.
Her dark cat-eyes swept across the room till they landed on me.
They narrowed slightly, as they had found her next prey.
She smiled, shiny bright peach-pink lips pulling over sharp, pearly-white teeth.
I was mesmerized.
Captured.
Like a siren, I let her reel me in.
She set her glass down on the table.
Began to walk.
Not once did she turn, confident that I would follow.
Her hips swayed and I followed them dutifully, like a snake follows its charmer.
I did.
Corners and corners we wound, until we wound, until we found ourselves alone.
Dark room, cold.
I felt light.
She turned around to close the door, and as she did, the light slowly dimming as it got more narrow.
And I found myself wondering where we would go from here.
It didn’t matter though.
She would own me.
And I would let her.
