"There were some points at which it seemed that the slice of life aspects were a little too long, There were a lot of simple mistakes that could have been caught by a more thorough job of editing, use of wrong tenses, homophones, etc. If the pace were picked up a little, it would also benefit the story a lot. Taking until the end of the 2nd book to get to the meat of the story is a bit much."
